Ismaël Bennacer landed in Milano today and has already completed all the necessary medical tests; tomorrow (Tuesday), he’ll officially join the club.
Bennacer to Milan has been done for a while, but now all those who were worried of a possible ‘gazump’ can be at ease.
The midfielder landed in Milano at around 13:00 CEST on Monday, following his win on Friday with Algeria in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in which Bennacer won the Player of the Tournament award.
The 21-year-old, who can play as a regista but also in a more advanced role closer to the strikers, went straight to La Madonnina clinic for his medical. After 4.5 hours of testing, Ismaël went on to perform the second and final part of the check-ups, doing some fitness tests.
As reported by Milannews.it, tomorrow the player will be at Casa Milan to sign a five-year contract. The Diavolo will pay Empoli €16m plus €2m bonuses while the player will earn €1.5m per season.
