Suso has attracted the interest of Roma, but Milan have no intention of taking the players the Giallorossi are offering to lower the price of the Spaniard.
Marco Giampaolo is switching to a formation without wingers and even though Suso can be converted into a trequartista or a second striker, it’s also possible that the 25-year-old will be sacrificed this summer to raise funds.
On Friday, agent Alessandro Lucci – together with his assistant Serginho – was at Casa Milan for the 6th time in the last month. The topic of the conversation was of course Suso, who seems to have only one team interested in him: Roma.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky, Roma are pressing for Suso, who was explicitly requested by coach Paulo Fonseca. Milan, however, consider the player important and would only consider a sale in case a club offers a figure close to €40m. But this, for now, does not appear to be the case.
Roma have a different valuation of Suso and in any case would like to insert players in the operation to lower the costs. Nicolò Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Roma tried to offer Grégoire Defrel plus €15 million, while Di Marzio also mentioned the names of Steven Nzonzi, Patrik Schick and Maxime Gonalons as names that Roma are willing to offer in a Suso deal.
Milan have no interest in any of the players, and to provoke Roma asked for Nicolò Zaniolo to be included in the deal, but director of sport Gianluca Petrachi considers the 20-year-old midfielder off the market. According to Sky, a player that can interest Milan, besides Zaniolo, is Cengiz Ünder.
It’s been made clear that Milan are in no hurry to buy or to sell this summer and so the negotiations between Milan and Roma could continue for a while. Suso’s future is hanging in the balance.
