Ozan Kabak has decided to reject the offer of Milan and stay in Germany, so they are now forced to find new targets.

Milan have been in talks with many agents and have been discussing a lot of different players. However, the only signing Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara have completed so far is that of Rade Krunić from Empoli.

Stefano Sensi of Sassuolo was a big target of Milan and he ended up going to Inter, and now Ozan Kabak – another player that the Diavolo strongly wanted – is set to join Schalke and reject Milan.

Reports in Italy and Germany both agree that Kabak will be staying in the Bundesliga and play for David Wagner’s side, which finished 14th last season and nearly got relegated. The Turkish rejected both Milan and Bayern Munich and opted for the club where he’d likely be playing the most.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Kabak – who has a €15m release clause and was reportedly offered €1m per season by Milan – will sign for Schalke on Saturday. Milannews.it adds that the Rossoneri will now be turning to evaluating different profiles for the role of the central defense. In the past, Milan have been linked with Dejan Lovren, Joachim Andersen and Napoli-bound Kostas Manolas.

There is still a lot of time left for the transfer market but with pre-season starting on July 9th, it doesn’t seem at the moment that there will be too many new faces at Milanello on that day.

I could see this was coming when they offered him 1mil sallary, rookie of the year in Bundesliga, pleanty of teams after him and you want to get him with 1mil sallary same as Donaruma brother who is 4th goalkepper. I hate to say it but Maldini and Massara are doing really poor job so far, this is the third player who refused us after Barella and Sensi. Arsenal fans are laughing at our offer for Torreira of 2 years loan for 5mil with option to buy for 35mil at the end…why would any one think that Arsenal would accept… Read more »

Agree. The moves they made don’t make any sense.

Oh man another one gone. Nothing but cheap bargains from our operatives til now.

Just sell first and raise some proper money. It’s easier with cash in the pocket than bargains and loans with empty coffers.

It’s pointless to chase Torreira without money, Arsenal stand firm with their demand of 40 millions and he already earns 3.5 million a season which is over the salary cap Elliott imposed. Just stop wasting time and look elsewhere there should be plenty of other talented players for less.

The FFP is having a negative impact on our transfer market. We are struggling to get our targets due to FFP. Its fustrating to see how things have been so far. Time is ticking we are failing to get our targets. We want to hear that we have signed our targets but its not happening. I assume maybe the management still think they have time. That is why they are not pushing hard enough in getting out targets. It might still be a bit early but I fear we will not get Champions league if we keeping failing to get… Read more »

Let’s forget about the kabak issue, there are more young talented defenders we could go for. The only thing to do now is to be more vigilant in picking a defender, he should play Schalke or whatever, we will still be Milan.

this is good. We’ll get someone else.

Nobody like Leonardo in the business. Maldini and Co are just bringing back Galliani days. This club is a joke and officially bankrupt, it’s a midtable club now, don’t put your hopes high. Elliott should just sell the club to a good profile billionaire. Even Fiorentina will finish higher than Milan come next season. It’s painful to say all these but it’s the reality. Do you guys think you’ll finish ahead of Juventus, Napoli, Inter Milan, Roma, Atalanta and Lazio. Leonardo for see all these and made the right choice, though you support with your heart but used your head.… Read more »
