Hi. I was just thinking how amazing would it be if Milan decided to ply with a back three. We are already strong at the back. Put Caldara in the mix. Then the right wing back favours Conti and allows to use the pace and brilliant engine of Calabria. You could play Bakayoko, Kessie, Hakan and Jack B when he returns. With the Gun slinger up front – Piatek. I think formation wise we could easily compete against Juventus. Attaching wise quick passing football and 1-2s. I also think Suso – he’s either on or off. I think he is… Read more »

Yes We can play some games with 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 With Caldara back into the fold, a 3-4-3 will be so good , we have players that’ll suit the formation Donna Caldara – Musachio – Romagnoli Calabria/Conti – Kessie/Biglia – Bakayoko/Biglia- Rodigruez Suso/Casti – Hakan/Jack /Piatek Piatek/Cutrone We have a complete squad now , slight rotation is acceptable

Inter lost yesterday so all we need today is to win and we would be on the 3rd position…..But it’s a tricky tie we have today. Hoping the boys will make us proud. Forza Milan!

Yes. Must win to take 3rd position. Hope no injuries for key players until the end of the season. Stay strong and united, boys. Good luck.

News all around that crutrone wants to go because of lack of playing time.I like this guy so much. He made us proud in our trying times. He has shown he is a real Milan fan. But he should not run past himself. He needs to calm down. He should not leave when things seem to be getting better. All the chrisante, Locatelli that left Milan to other clubs are not playing anything fantastic. Piatek cannot play all the games. His time will come. Look at Bakayoko. He was benched by Bilga. But right now opportunity came and he has benched… Read more »

First of all i’ll take all transfer rumours with a grain of salt before they actually materialize as facts but i fully agree Pato and really like him too and hope he will stay here for many years to come. On the other hand i think a lot of the appreciation and love directed at him has not only been because of his goals and him being a homegrown player but also largely due to his work etthics and commitement to the clubs colours. If his Heart isnt in for fighting for his spot in the team anylonger well then… Read more »

Hey Rossoneri, we can be 3rd today!! What an amazing turnaround!! M-Savic I see is now €60m and it’s just us and Juve interested. Perhaps we can buy him for €40m? That reminds me of Belotti, where is he now? Another overrated flop hahaha.

Forza Rossoneri!!

LeoDiniZidis are after the supertrio of Dinamo Zagreb.

Marin LW = superb
Olmo CM/AM = superb
Moro no data

Of these guys develop and Milan gets a hand of them….. pffff….. think we would be the most talented team in the world then.

ah, either way. I doubt management wld go on a raid from a lower league team like Zagreb.

Mathijs Savicevic

Mathijs Savicevic

The players matter, not the league. Besides, every big club in Europe is after them. So it would be a very shortsighted idea not to buy players from a “lower league”.

Then Barca shouldn’t buy De Jong as well?!

milan2012

milan2012

Among other links, IMO buying three players from a Croatian league team is not the move. Ajax is a constant performer in Champions league so I wldnt say it’s the same thing.
Now Im not trying to be rude, but jump in quality of defenders and opponent teams make some of other league “performers” into chokers.
Now I can see maybe one player, but not a whole team raid.

I was watching from 2nd half until that red and a free kick. Seen enough to turn the TV off. But as the saying goes, fortune follows the brave, we needed today a bit of luck also. Let’s hope they can gear up for the next match

Not a good performance obviously but something we needed desperately, now lets hope that lazio beat roma cuz even if roma winning means inter go 5th, i think more gap between CL spot and 5th is more important for us, now im gonna go celebrate 3rd place for the first time in a long time, Forza Milan!!

3rd place baby!!!! Can’t believe it. This was such a scrappy game, but a lot of it is probably down to the player’s nerves. They’re a young team, and this game was THE big game to win to finally put Milan back in 3rd place since a few years time. We could see the nerves on Bakayoko for example. His defensive game was bad today. A lot of players also kept losing the ball with no pressure from the opposition. Their feet just felt too heavy. With 3rd place now ours, I do think the boys will play with more… Read more »

We still have 12 games to go so we shouldn’t get carried away. Milan should be focused on 2nd place instead so they should be thinking more about putting pressure on Napoli instead of trying secure 3rd place.

If we think about 3rd place there will be too much pressure on the players but if they work on catching Napoli they will have more desire and less pressure as all the pressure will be on Napoli to prevent that from happening.

Agreed. Their mentality of champions fending off smaller clubs isn’t there yet, so looking forward to getting 2nd would be better than thinking negatively as this squad gets way too nervous in big games.

You know but, Gattuso is just lucky and he is given a ferrari even a drunk monkey could do better. We should really get wenger gasperini or conte. Pff even Leonardo would do way better than him. Just look at Higuain Gattuso’s tactics blocked him. 8 clean sheets in 11 matches is not enough, not up the standards of Milan, this team is only grinta and too defensive minded for its own good. Yeah we’re winning but with own goals, and lucky shots from Piatek, if it weren’t for him we surely would be at 8th place by now. I… Read more »

Please spare me… Gattuso has brought the team to third position. Not all games will be 100%. The important thing is the 3 points we got.
Let this coach thing slide please.. as Nick said it focus should be on Napoli now. Let them feel the pressure as we can catch up them.
Stop all this Gattuso hating and player luck..

No, I really think we should play with 2 strikers and no beards and tattoos. Gattuso was only grinta he doesn’t have football IQ for being a manager. He is only lucky that everyone else in the league but Carletto is as clueless as Rino. Serie A sucks, I’m a football guru so I’m know what I’m talking, I touch myself when I look at the mirror.

Of course I know, everyone knows better than Gattuso, he’s just a retard who was good because he was at Milan, even Bertolacci would’ve been good with Ancellotti as a coach and with teammates of the likes of Seedorf and Pirlo sometimes I kiss at my reflection because I’m so smart.

Raven i fully agree and allways pretty much suspected some of them to be a bunch of inter fans disguised as milanistas and if they infact are milan fans i think we should be more embaressed about certain parts of our fan base and their lack of respect towards a club legend than our previous years of troubles. My guess though is that they are licking their wounds as inter will soon be out of CL qualification contention as i think lazio will take 4rth spot and we the 3rd or 2nd place.

Raven

Of course they’re just trolls who doesn’t have something better to do with their time. When we are undefeated they disappear. I’m not saying that Gattuso is a great coach, but he is bringing the results, he managed to fix our defense’s issues that killed us since T.S left. He should be given time and patience like many MIlan Glorie said. We have a very young squad, a solid management, legends in our ranks if we achieve CL the sky is the limit. 12 more games to be won, we the season is long but we have a lot have… Read more »

Absolutely.

Yeah he might not be the best coach in the World currently but he is what milan needed and i for one has been supportive of his hirring from day one. He had a few abysmal games right after he was hired but besides of that i think he has done well beyonf expectations and things will only further improve with patience as you suggest.

Rino is definitely learning and improving. More, he’s putting a nice (“prospect”) team together. Nobody can’t deny the evolution of Rino and the team and that is only to be appreciated. We are going through our best times right now since 2012!! Credit to him to stick with and around 4th place in Dec when we had the injuries we’ve had and not much depth in the team!! Forza Rossoneri!!

Gattuso is stupid. Why did he kept playing Suso on RW ? He should be replaced by Samu. Poor performance of both wingers is the main problem of our attack.

100% agree with u dear met….. I can’t understand why Gattuso is giving Suso so many playing time???…Suso is weak, timid, selfish, slow in nature…. only thing he can do is misdirected shot on goal n puts Milan in trouble by loosing position…. Samu is far better than Suso…we should sell Suso in next summer n bring a strong fast quality winger….rest of the team is ok but we should play 4 2 3 1 now coz now we have Piatek who needs only few chance for score……. 3rd place..

You’re a joke if you think Castillejo is a better player than Suso. Yes he’s in bad form but don’t disrespect the man. Aplayer plays bad today “REPLACE HIM”, when that other player starts playing bad “REPLACE HIM”. That’s not how football works, how do you expect a team to be stable when you keep alternating players anytime they dip in form? You think all our players are Messi?

I swear Samu is better than Suso. He is overrated compared to Samu. Gattuso should wake up.

I agree with you … I said even before RW and LW it’s must be changed in the next Mercato … we can cash in good for suso, Hakan , and cutrone , if we get Rabiot or Milinkovic-Savic we can cash in for kessie too …. plus money from Silva and locatelli …. we all need to remember this Financial fair play we can’t just buy and buy and not selling no one

Great result by the boys, and like everyone else, I’m really happy with 3rd place. But … this team seems to have a mental issue where in big games they seem to crumble under pressure. We’ve seen this against Inter this season, Juve in the cup final, and other instances. And now against Sassuolo. The fear of making a mistake, and the general pressure buildup of the week prior to a big match, seems to neutralize many of our players. We were sluggish yesterday, slow, and we’re afraid in many cases to move the ball forward properly, preferring dead long… Read more »

Don’t know why some people here always think they know more than Gattuso calling him “stupid”….even though suso didn’t perform Gattuso has kept using him till he got to this third position…it’s impossible to outplay all our opponents in every match but winning suffices.
Conclusion: I’ll only judge Gattuso at end of season irrespective of the players or substitution he makes.
Man of match yesterday IMO is Donaruma

what do you mean “irrespective of players or substitutions”. thats like saying ill judge a race car driver irrespective of how he steers his car… your supposed to judge coaches because of players and substitution otherwise you may as well not judge him at all.

Martin Bernhard

Well Simon you can disagree all you want with substitutions and i havent agreed with all subs made the entire season by gattuso but the results and League position speaks its own language and in the end thats what a coach will be judged on. People often tends to think they know the best or for that matter how we should play but nobody can deny that our coach and his staff members are the ones WHO knows the players fitness levels the best. Besides of that just because substitutions doesnt necessarily make sense to us all the time doesnt… Read more »

Boga was abusing our left side all game. Interesting prospect.
Lotito trying to raise sMS value with psg rumors from his burner accounts.
Cutrone following footsteps of his best friend Locatelli.
3rd place. Poor game, we know it, players know it, coach knows it.
Maldini scores banger free kick.

So happy Napoli lost to Juventus and their next match is Sassuolo. I believe we can catch them over 12 games if we continue our good form. The team should be motivated for that especially if we win the derby against Inter who are very poor without Icardi.

Rumors have it that Leonardo is planning for Stefano Sensi. Sensi would be a really good signing for next season.

Martin Bernhard
Guest
Martin Bernhard

Nick i think you are right we might actually get the 2nd place even though i would also happily grab 3rd place as well.

Sensi is a player that many fans isnt especially interested in aquirring but i agree he would be a fine signing as he is technical gifted and is strong with both legs so that could also give the team an extra dimension. In the end i think it comes down to how much sassuolo would want for him but he can certainly add some value to the squad.

Slicer
Member

Well I for one don’t like Juve being this dominant playing the way they are, but yes if it gives us the chance to catch Napoli then why not.

As for Sensi, I don’t know I have never really been impressed by him , i feel that Milan can do better than him, of course all depends on the budget constraints this summer.

Raven
Guest

I really haven’t seen much from Sensi, but Biglia isn’t getting any younger. I’d say if we manage to get CL spots send a offer to Verratti. He is still at the group age of this squad.

nick

Veratti would be a luxury to have but his price tag would be very high. Sensi or Julian Weigl are good options at a much cheaper price that’s within our FIfa Financial FairPlay restrictions. I appreciate Bakayoko but his ball handling skills, passing and dribbling is very poor. Both him and Kessie make too many wayward passes which is why we turnover the ball so quickly to our opponents when we have it. Defensively Bakayoko and Kessie are solid no doubt about that but neither one of them has ever played a ball from any of their interceptions that led… Read more »

@ nick Chiesa as for me plays LW so only the Turk can be replaced by him …. kessie/Bakayoko can be replaced either by Milinkovic Savic but maybe we get Rabiot as for me is better than Milinkovic-Savic. Sensi probably would be good I don’t know if he will fit good for us . Also Suso/Castillejo not fantastic for RW we need someone else probably . Chiesa can play both RW or LW. He can also be deployed as a 2nd striker or AM. He has been used in all these roles at Fiorentina. This kid is so versatile and he would be a smart signing by Milan. Rumors have it that Milan are prepared to sell Suso whose contract negotiations have stalled (Suso wants 5m per year even though his form of late is poor) go figure. Milan are also prepared to sell Kessie and Cutrone. Cutrone wants to leave for lack of game time. These are just rumors on the internet by the way.… Read more »

Well in all 3 cases Milan would boost their FPP status since Cutrone is a youth product, Suso came on bosman and Kessie would be sold for almost a double.

This is the new management’s plan – buy low while it’s hot, build and sell high but stay competitive
