Alen Halilović has left Milan and will try to get his career on track in Belgium.

Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone signed Alen Halilović on a free transfer in the summer, but Gennaro Gattuso never really found a use for the 22-year-old Croatian, who last night officially left.

“Milan announces the agreement with Royal Standard de Liège for the transfer of registration rights of the player Alen Halilović on loan with option to buy,” a statement on the website of Milan read.

The announcement of Standard Liège adds that Halilović is joining them on an 18-month loan with option to buy in 2020. Halilović will try to finally get some minutes and revive his struggling career.

  1. Hopefully, Standard will sign him…very poor judgement from prior management. Always labelled as talent just because he resembles young Messi but left Dinamo/Croatia way too early and he just isn’t capable of playing modern football…at least not in top European leagues.
