Jherson Vergara Amú has left Milan again, but this time for good, as the Lega has confirmed he’s joined Cagliari.
Vergara joined Milan five years ago after an impressive showing in the 2013 South American Youth Championship, which he won with Colombia.
However, the center back never really convinced at Milan and apart from the occasional pre-season match, he was never in the plans of the Diavolo.
The 24-year-old spent seasons on loan at Parma, Avellino, Livorno and Arsenal Tula. With his contract with Milan expiring in 2019, the player and his agent were yesterday at Milan Casa to terminate the deal. And so, as confirmed by the website of the Lega, Cagliari have decided to take Vergara and have already deposited his contract.
Vergara is most likely the first of several players who will leave Milan on this transfer deadline day. Gabriel is also expected to terminate his contract with the Rossoneri and join Perugia for one season.
