Jherson Vergara Amú has left Milan again, but this time for good, as the Lega has confirmed he’s joined Cagliari.

Vergara joined Milan five years ago after an impressive showing in the 2013 South American Youth Championship, which he won with Colombia.

However, the center back never really convinced at Milan and apart from the occasional pre-season match, he was never in the plans of the Diavolo.

The 24-year-old spent seasons on loan at Parma, Avellino, Livorno and Arsenal Tula. With his contract with Milan expiring in 2019, the player and his agent were yesterday at Milan Casa to terminate the deal. And so, as confirmed by the website of the Lega, Cagliari have decided to take Vergara and have already deposited his contract.

Vergara is most likely the first of several players who will leave Milan on this transfer deadline day. Gabriel is also expected to terminate his contract with the Rossoneri and join Perugia for one season.

  1. Better…all the best ..Elliot ….Leonardo….Maldini ….please sign SMS . Our mildfield is in dire of work class mildfield …

  2. Leonardo-Maldini amazing as ever. Castillejo and Laxalt solid additions. Getting rid of Gabriel, Vergara and other deadweights in this limited time, simply amazing. Guys these amazing people have helped us dream again now we need to help the club. This year tell every Milanista to buy as many merchendise as possible(original of course). We need to give our beloved club every kind of support we can give it.
    Forza Milan!!!!

  3. Its A Good Thing Someone Is Getting To Wipe Off Galliani’s Mess Now. He Sure Pulled Of Some Transfer Heist But I Still Can’t Believe He Paid Over 20million Euros For Bertolacci, When At That Time He Could Have Gotten A Better Player With That Amount.

    Anyways, Goodluck Vergara!

  4. If we can’t get SMS it’s not a do or die affair. Let’s not waste the little time left on him alone. I would gladly take Veretout if we can’t get SMS. Veretout is really good.

  5. I need to speak out about this SMS affair. I am from Montenegro, some could say that I am basically Serbian and I watch SMS play for about 5 years now. He is a beast, his brother goalkeeper is also sa beast but he didn’t cam3 trough yet. A year ago when I mentioned on Rossoneri blog that SMS should be bought instead of Kessie lot of you guys jumped on my neck but it’s all forgiven haha 🙂
That being said I don’t really think that he is worth that much money and that he could be that crucial in our midfield. Money well spend would be a guy like Ruben Neves from Wolves. But don’t get me wrong if he comes I will welcome him with open arms. Issue could be finding him a position in which he will show his abillities, strenght and speed. If you watched a World cup that moron Krstajic played him on the wrong postion and SMS was not that good.

    • I disagree, I think that he will be a game changer at Milan, what do you think is the best position/formation for him??
