Is Reina likely to stay or not?

Friendly or not I hate seeing Calabria at left back (I know we have no other options right now). But I hope people don’t act like he can play both when he is significantly less effective on the left and should be used there only as an emergency in the real season. He is visibly way more confident on the right and I don’t want the false idea he can play both sides to stunt his growth. We don’t need another mds.

If we don’t sell Suso, Higuain will have a scoring feast. These great chances Suso is creating need to be finished. They are vintage Suso crosses.

What happened to Conti? Is he still injured?

Watched the first half and not really happy with what I saw, to say the least. Yes, it is only a friendly and it is summer, but I see the same flaws that were there last season and I fear will be there this season. Organisation, the way the players stand on the pitch, idea in play everything is the same. Trying to play from the back always gets them in trouble, easily solved by their players pressure. Simply not working, stop doing it. Atack plan? Creep into their half and give ball to Suso to send it in, if… Read more »

Nah,Milan and the plays at all that back, you just used to anxiety caused by Milan over the passed years.Tottenham have played 4 friendliest already, for this being our 2nd I think the boys are in pretty good shape,Suso and Calhanoglu have spun some really world class crosses, and Calabria has been positive to.Just enjoy the warm up

So you dont like Hakan in the mid who created a great chance from nothing for Cutrone plus constant spreding of the game with his vision and long balls, but you like Kessie in the mid who misplace like 90% of his passes and destroyes every potential chance we have when he is on the ball just because he runs more, i mean com on i like Kessie to but he didnt live up to the expectations we had for him, in my opinion he need to go a position back this more attacking role he was given under Monttela… Read more »

Can you just tell me when was the last time one of our midfielders created more chances than Hakan did yesterday ? Pundits claiming he was the best player on the pitch , and here you are saying that he isn’t good for midfield !?
Why are milan fans always complaining ?

The thing is, they lost against Tott kids, with almost full squad that is about to play competitive matches in two weeks. Creating chances is not the same as scoring goals or winning. They’ll win one weekend and suso will shine, then the other they’ll lose against atalanta or chievo and he will be invisible. That’s called inconsistency. I am the biggest optimist every summer even with the Bosman acquisitions but in the fall starts the fall, over and over again. I like what Leonardo is doing, but that’s only a beggining cause with the current squad our team is… Read more »

Reina would have saved that goal! Donnarumma did poorly.

I know many of the ‘fans’ hate Donnarumma.
But come on. Nobody would have saved that. That was a world class strike. Can we not just admit a goal was good because of the individual brilliance instead of blaming our keepers?

@Ink
Good sense. I remember Mane scored a similar goal against Man City in the Premiership when Liverpool won 4-3 or so. Also consider that Donna’s physique is basically a double edged sword. It allows him to at the very least get his fingertips to balls that most goalkeepers have no chance of even touching, yet when the ball goes in the net after he touched it, people say “he should have saved it”. Forgetting that many goalies would not even have touched it in the first place.

I know is a freandly but losing from Tottenham 3d team like come on. And all they did is high pressing, similar like Arsenal last year. Gatuzzo should have learned his lesson by now, not every one will let you build from the back and it seems like he has no back up plan to this, for 90min we kept passing at the back putting our self in bad situation, lucky for us Tottenham didn’t capitalize on all of our mistaqes at the back. In general after watching all 3games in the preseason it seems like we made no real… Read more »

I agreed with the most of your comment above, except the Hakan part for which i replayed, the rest was in general fine by me 😀 Cheers.

Reina will be our first goal keeper,Donnarumma has started with making silly mistake and covering up with some saves too, like he did last season. Tottenham goal would have been saved by reina, musachio and rogmannoli are good in the back, calabria played and managed d left back wing very well.PLEASE NO LOCATELLI FANS SHOULD COME HERE AND GIVE STUPID HYPE ABOUT HIM,AT LEAST HE HAS BEEN GIVEN BETTER PLAYING TIME WHICH ARE NOT IMPRESSING!!!Though he was trying to try something and the end of the match but it’s late!!! Mauri plays the midfield better Dan him. Kessie played foolishly and rubbish(he even… Read more »

Too many average players, the same flaws like last season,The midfield can not hold the ball for 2 minutes, too many faulty passes.

I’ve watched this game in an online stream featuring a commentator who was obviously a bit behind in the times. The guy was still stuck on the Maldini nostalgia & pretty much had no idea who most of our line-up was & with that said, His comments were totally un-biases and I will quote him a couple of times in this comment. First half started well, Considering this is only a Pre-season friendly the guys came in a good shape. They ran well, pressed & should’ve bagged a goal or two in the least keeping in mind Tottenham was playing… Read more »

Today showed why we so desperately need a striker like higuain. Cutrone missed two golden chances and suso sent in such delicious balls that nobody has the instinct to get on to. Let’s just say higuain would have had three goals minimum today. Calhanoglu showed he can play in the attacking mid role. Calabria gave away two horrid balls which caused a goal and almost cost another. I know it’s just the beginning and just a friendly but it just cements my desire to get higuain even more. He’s going to make suso look like a star with all the… Read more »

Silva can’t get to play even in the preseason but yet again Kalinic shit plays!! Don’t get this. Don’t get why we still play those players who we want to get rid of, Abate, Antonelli, Mauri, Kalinic!! We should be playing those we want to rely on!! Forza Milan!!

We need finishers, creators and depth. Same as last year.
Leo has a hell of a job to do. Cahanoglu and Suso looking good and I like the idea of seeing him in midfield. These are again Tottenham kiddie team and sadly almost our full squad. Now everything is up to Leonardo.

Yes, this was mostly Tottenhams youth team, but other than running and pressing high for the first ten minutes, we were better and created several chances. The chances they created were mistakes from us – two from Calabria and one from Donnarumma. Results dont matter much in pre-season, it’s about fitness and how the team plays, and after struggling for the first ten minutes I think our passing looked good, and we look solid, hard to pass. If anything, this game shows that we really need a class striker, with all the chances that went begging, although some of the… Read more »

Gattuso is the only person that disappointed me. After changing to 2 strikers, he still chose 442 flat instead of working on 442 diamond. A cam behind the strikers and not wide midfielders. New game plan is needed or we will repeat last season again

Who should’ve played as the attacking mid? Hakan and Suso was off

Jed

Hakan was on the pitch when we changed to two strikers…he was removed later for mauri and even mauri can’t play lm

Milanista121

Milanista121

Yeah but Hakan can play on the left there, and if he was to come off, five minutes after switching to two strikers, then taking him off and switching back to 4-4-2?
If Rino has any intention of playing a 4-3-1-2 then he would’ve tested it.

Offtopic

Seems Higuain demands more money from Milan, according to reports he wants 9 million a season deal. This also means Caldara-Bonucci swap is again put on hold

Milanista121

Higuain…proving more why i dislike him smh… Leonardo is proposing a 4-year deal instead of 3-year deal but with the same salary he has at Juve (7.5). Being greedy doesnt pay off.

Gattuso said dis “The legs will be a bit heavy and tomorrow we’ll see it, but it’s part of the journey” in his interview before the match with Tottenham and I saw dat,but notwithstanding the guys still played better football, just dat locatelli did nothing to help in the midfield,d midfield was very weak, locatelli didn’t any fantastic football till like 80mins+,dat caused Tottenham to really dominate especially in the first half!!! We need biglia/or preferably a better signing midfielder to assist in getting our goals!!! Importantly,an experienced STRIKER TOO FORZA MILAN

Been saying Kessie just very stupid with the way he plays football, how would just think you can out run your opponent everytime at middle whereas your not a winger don’t know what Rhino do tell them for me as a midfield you needed link up and make better play from the back to the attack he isn’t doing that… I notice something too Rhino should stop using 4-3-3 flat thats an old school formation no one is using it again even PEP or KLOPP ain’t using it go for 4-3-3 neutral that will be perfect for Hakan and Kessie… Read more »
