The Adjudicatory Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) has decided to ban Milan from Europe.

After a long wait, the Rossoneri today learned the decision of the Adjudicatory Chamber of the CFCB, to which the club was referred by UEFA a month ago ‘for breach of the FFP regulations, in particular the break-even requirement.’

UEFA made their statement public earlier today, but it’s written in a confusing way and so initially it was thought that Milan have been excluded from Europe for two years; instead, it’s only for one competition, so the Diavolo are ruled out of the 2018/19 Europa League but may qualify for the 2019/20 EL or Champions League. The statement reads:

“The Adjudicatory Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), chaired by José Narciso da Cunha Rodrigues, has taken a decision in the case of the club AC Milan that had been referred to it by the CFCB Chief Investigator for the breach of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations, in particular the break-even requirement.

“The club is excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify in the next two (2) seasons (i.e. one competition in 2018/19 or 2019/20, subject to qualification). This decision may be appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, in accordance with Article 34(2) of the Procedural rules governing the UEFA Club Financial Control Body, as well as Articles 62 and 63 of the UEFA Statutes. The full reasoned decision will be published on UEFA.com.”

Milan now have 10 days to appeal the decision of the Chamber. It is thought that their chances of overturning it are low, but this may change if Yonghong Li manages to find an agreement on the sale of the club. In the last days, Rocco B. Commisso, the owners of the New York Cosmos, was in the lead, but negotiations seem to have stopped in the last 24 hours as Yonghong Li changed the terms of the deal for the second time in a week and Commisso is said to be furious.

This is yet another blow for the Diavolo, after getting rejected for the Voluntary Agreement and then the Settlement Agreement. UEFA seem to want to make an example out of the 7-times UCL winners.

But PSG, United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona just get away with whatever they want. Wasnt it 3-4 years ago Barcelona had a transfer ban and still ended up signing Neymar? Yeah. UEFA isnt corrupt at all. Mr.Li better sign this club over to Commisso very quick so he can appear at the appeal or we are about to lose our big players.

Told you so!!!!! Milan is history!!!!

How demoralizing is this for the players and fans?!?! This is a Headshot!!!!

Bye Milan

Sheva

So when shit goes down, you are the guy in movies who screams “WE’R ALL GONNA DIE!!! “.
From my point view, we are not in much worse situation than we where 3 months ago. And Milan is attracting interest from lots of potential buyers, not only two trending American names. We are still far from over.

RK

How many fucking, “Year Zeroes” are we going to have?

What an agonizing time to be a milan fan.

At least our fate is revealed and now the transfer market can get moving whether it’s in regards to sales or purchases. The bonucci’s and donnarumma’s are going to want out so let’s just get this over with.

Baresis Dream

Unbelievably harsh, it seems like we are being used to set an example. From the little I understand, this gives us quite decent grounds for appeal since we can argue for discrimination in terms of the punishment.

amal

i read that milan can participate in 19-20 uefa competitions..is that right..?

Sexion

This is heart breaking. It’s the harshest sentence that could have been imposed. I am very disappointed. Credit has to go to Berlusconi for fucking up Milan. I am sure what made matters worse was Li refusing to sell to a financial stable individual like Commisso. The decision is also politically motivated. If Li was a European maybe the sentence would have not been such.

Jibola

UEFA waited to see if the Milan ownership will be changed in the Commisso deal in other to come up with a lenient verdict but that idot Li pull the plug on the deal last night. UEFA have nothing against Milan, they don’t want any European club in hands of any Edge Funds like Elliott etc and that’s why they advised this smug to refinance it using a bank since March. This Chinese maggot got offers on his table for refinancing but he’s looking for the best deal. This fool is just playing poker with our Milan my people and… Read more »

RK

So if UEFA’s main issue could be the hedge fund? Do you think li selling the club would help with the appeal?

Jibola

Definitely! That’s why they waiting to see if d club would go to Commisso.

Look at d timing of the announcement of the verdict. Li rejected Commisso’s offer last night and UEFA gave their verdict today. Same verdict they were reluctant to give since a week ago when it was due.

This Scumbag just screwed us.

milan1

Jibola, don’t be too quick to judge, Uefa will still give its verdict regardless if li sold the club today. Also, don’t believe everything you read in the media, is there any video or press conference from either party the deal is off? Let’s call a spade a spade, Uefa is bull shit with their verdict. They are just using li as cover up, they have hidden agenda about the man so he will leave the club. To me, berlusconi and galliani put us in this mess and they should be the one we nail because in fact li rescued… Read more »

Jibola is absolutely right. Uefa waited for the commiso takeover but since the announcement that li (berlusconi) withdrew from the deal , Uefa gave us the summer slam! Everything made in china is always fake!!!!

Denboy

It’ll be overturned on appeal

cfh

Mr Li please sell this club or invite new investor/investors to safe us this unbearable shames.
Milan may become bad history if this really happened…remember what you, coaching staff, players and we fans went through to qualify for this europa league.
Please save our (milan) souls!!!!!!
If Elliott advice you not to sell it,it is for them take it from you later.

Forza Milan

Entire saga s**ks… I hope this idiot Chinese doesn’t turn back the money to Elliot and in turn the fund takes it over and sells it to a stable buyer… Ready to wait 1 year more to see Milan in stable hand than see Milan daily with this fucking Chinese asshole. We may lose few players but can’t help. We need to save Milan first and then everything will fall in it’s place automatically.

Milanmario1

Thanks Li and Fassone!! These two are con artists!! R.I.P. Milan but we will get back once we get rid of these two muppets.

It’s all gambling, this muppet buying Milan and the other muppet managing it. They thought they’ll buy it, qualify for CL in the first season and sell the players at profit!! He hasn’t got money to support the club but he refuses a good deal I thought even though I’m not mega excited about this Commisso. Wtf is this about?

Striker

Fu*****k Li. Where is the love for Milan? I can’t stand to watch all of our big players walking out of Milan. How long will it take for Milan to be grate again? Will we ever get to see a mighty Milan again in our lifetime? Why have we fallen to grass like this? Is there a light at the end of the thunder?

I can’t stand to see my beloved Milan go down the drain in this form and Mainer. Hope you live today milan, to day another day.

soheil balini

at the same time PSG spent 400M on transferns and got away with “you are bad boy! you are a really really bad boy” comment from UEFA!

Mads Andersen

PSG were not owned or half owned by a hedge fund.

soheil balini

Actually it doesn’t matter! PSG is owned by corrupted owners who is using this team for money laundering. Everybody knows that! It’s all politic!

MILANIAC

Its Two Years Not One. Its All Over The News! God Save Us All!

Martin Bernhard

Cant say im surprised but it does seem like we have been treated extremely unfairly compared to other Clubs breaching the rules. I wouldnt be too surprised if UEFAS website soon gets heavily bombarded by bot attacks so it is laid Down to rest for a while and at the same time the UEFA headquarter in the comming days recieves several dog turds in their mail. Atleast i hope that happens.

Milanellofm

What terrible news. Li at the decisive hours pulls out of the agreement with commisso and now the deal may fall through completely. After commisso was going to give guarantees to uefa and they were saying milan would have a strong case. Li better sell to commisso cause this is embarassing. Players are going to leave now too. We have a week to get out of this mess

Ahmed

But still I’m a Milan fan

Kourosh

It’s all madness around Milan right now. First Li pulls out of the negotiations and then Uefa hands down this harsh sentence.

Well at least there’s nothing about that 30m fine which was rumored. That would have been the real blow.

Spencer

It’s a one year ban not 2. Secondly I’m a bit happy about our exclusion cause the Europa league annoys me so much and at least we can concentrate on the league and build just like inter did last year. Cause I don’t see how Europa was any good to us this year

dejan10

I’m not as worried about being excluded from the Europa League as I am about our best players leaving. According to Football Italia “a FIGC study in Report Calcio 2018 found that over the last five years, clubs that failed to enter the Europa League a year after qualifying actually had a positive impact on their financial status. If anything, from 2012 to 2017, sides missing the Europa League ended up being €15m better off at the close of the financial year.” But there’s just been no consistency over the past six years with players and managers coming and going… Read more »

Ross Oneri

The ban is for one season over a period of two seasons. We qualified for the coming season so that will count for the ban and the season after we can participate. This might be a blessing in disguise, we will focus on the league more.. I actually don’t care much about the Europa League.

Philldadon1899

Is it 1 year or 2? I saw 2 now its 1? I am so confused.

rado

I read as well 2 years (mean 1 season)……but statement from UEFA saying ….2 seasons 2018/19 OR 2019/20
SO this year we qualified, so not playing next season

Haso112

I don’t know why I seem to be the only one not panicking about all that’s happening… I am positive all of this will end well…..!!

Haso112

I don’t know why I seem to be the only one who isn’t panicking about all that’s happening… I am positive all of this will end well….!!!

Ted

One more thing

Milan now has 10 days to appeal to TAS but how long will TAS need to put out their verdict?

Until this charade is over, Milan mercato is blocked while others are getting stronger. Additionally it will have an impact on Rino’s preseason

Paul

Berlo thank you. you have sold the club to trusted financial power who is able to finance Milan.
I hope fassone should know were to play this deal to. I can’t even understand were he side.
well, is only Bonu, Donna, RR, Suso will leave.
But if Elliott takeover completely, will the be problem?

Dazziano

I am in real heartache at this current state of affairs at my beloved A.C. Milan. This idiot Li is only interested in making a quick buck of the back of a real Labour of love for us fans. Rocco Commisso was a real option but Li just keeps moving the goal posts. He has taken a footballing power house and Italian sporting heritage and destroyed us inside 12 months. I hope he eats shit and dies!!

Nas

The only thing that bothers me is the embarrassment of it
Better off not in the Europa league anyway it’s nothing but a side show to the champions league
Now just imagine we had qualified for the champions league and got booted out? Now that would be a problem
Can’t wait to hear Soracos comment! That guy predicted all of this from day one

Terry

I think we should not appeal it. Europa league is a distraction. Let’s consolidate and get back into the UEFA Champions league.

rado

but uefa league can provide some money….thats all

in this desperate situation, we need money……and i am scared that we will get them by selling top players:(:(

Kobbymilano

Li should sell the shares he can manage our team he is actually making us go back Forza Milan

Larryoil

I think Li is been treated dis way just bcuz he’s Chinese,Americans and others European owners can’t be treated dis way!!! I believe we not playing europa league next season is a blessing in disguise, though we will lose some money but it’s a way of having full concentration on the league,I believe if we plays just d league only, with what Milan players played last season and d team spirit,we might win the league or be 2nd on the table!!! But I still believe d table can be turned around within 10days,am not afraid at all!!! And mark my words,NO BIG… Read more »
