Lucas Biglia was happy after the win over Genoa as ‘so many teams lost points here’ and said Milan can do it a comeback against Arsenal.
Milan returned to winning ways after the 2-0 loss to Arsenal in the Europa League, but it was anything but easy at the Marassi Stadium on Sunday evening.
It took Milan the whole 94 minutes to get a goal as it was André Silva’s header that gave them the win. The Rossoneri won while keeping a clean sheet for the fourth consecutive time in Serie A, for the first time since March 2013.
“It’s a very difficult field to play at and so many teams lost points here,” midfielder Biglia told MilanTV after the game. “We came here still a bit disappointed after last Thursday’s defeat because it hurts, and we know that we didn’t do the right thing, but we can still turn it around next week.
“We have to play as a team and do what we do. Bonucci, Romagnoli and I are working to find the right meters and distances and then to give the spaces to Jack [Bonaventura] and Franck [Kessié]. The standings? We are not looking at the schedule, we focus on one match after the other and then we will see. I’m happy for André Silva because he works so hard in training [it was the 22-year-old’s first-ever goal in Serie A]. I hope Niko [Kalinić] too gets his reward soon.”
