Kessié: “This was a great result but we can’t stop here, Gattuso is making us work harder and you see the results”

Franck Kessié says things are different under Rino Gattuso than they were under Vincenzo Montella and focuses on Lazio after beating Roma.

Milan won their fifth match in a row yesterday, beating Roma at Stadio Olimpico with goals coming from Patrick Cutrone (48′) and Davide Calabria (74′).

It was the first in a very difficult string of games for Milan, who face Lazio, Inter and Arsenal in their next three matches, but Kessié takes it one game at a time.

“We did well to bring home the three points,” he told Premium Sport.

“Coach Gattuso? He is making us work harder, especially on tactics. With Montella we did very little work in training, but it’s different with Gattuso and you can see the results on the pitch.

“The locker room atmosphere is the same as it always was, the difference is that now we work harder. It’s like a family here and the results are arriving.

“The next games? We are immediately thinking about the game against Lazio, then we’ll think about the other matches. Step by step, we think about one game at a time.”

Speaking to MilanTV, the 21-year-old said: “The victory was fundamental for everyone. I’m very happy. The team is improving step by step. When you raise your game you must carry on, especially if you are a big club, you have to keep winning. This was a great result, but we can’t stop here, we still have to work so much. Sitting out one game helped me as well as playing 50 minutes against Ludogorets.

“I can still give a lot on Wednesday. Calabria? He must pay for dinner now. Lazio? We need to rest now and start training on Monday ahead of Wednesday’s match.”

Well said bro, Although I wish you stop going AWOL in the 60-70th minutes almost every game lately, and then you pop back up later!

Milanista121

Franck the tank, have so much potential, you’re doing well, just need to up your passing, concentration and sharpness in the final third, and you’ll truly be a beast! Keep it up!

Nas

That’s what I said and I nearly got ate

Milanista121

Yeah I saw that, but to be fair, I think it was interpreted as if you said he had a poor game, which I dont agree with, but you have a point that a sharper team would pounce in a loose ball etc, but he did everything else good in the game and is indispensable to our team.

I’ve always liked his powerhouse way of playing I love players like that they give you muscle and strength
I think it’s his muscular frame and sheer size that gives him problems controlling the ball in tight situations it’s like he’s almost clumsy
I think there’s going to be a lot of interest shown towards him in the coming years it’s hard to believe he’s only 21

best

strength and vigor are his trademark.

Essential mezzala for nowadays Milan ! Strong and good technique, he is indispensible for our Milan ! He is only 21
