  1. Oh yes, interesting to see the 4-3-1-2 and see how Suso does in that position. I remember him playing there under Miha to zero success but that was two years ago and he has developed a lot. I know he has played there in a various system, but that’s different. This time the players will all be playing in familiar roles, not unfamiliar ones. Also interesting to see the partnership of Bonu and Roma. Really like this formation and line up. Only sad thing is that Loca is suspended, but hopefully he’ll start in the weekend.

  2. I love Gattuso who play right players in right position. you fail he drop, you pass he play.
    No favoritism.
But is like 433, silva cutrone suso.
anyway, let go for the win.

    • yes I think right back is the most suitable position for Borini coz he is seriously hard working and he has adapted to the squad very fast in any position in both wings…..good luck Milan

    • Why not trying Borini on RM role and Kessie as CM? I believe that the midfield will have more energy than the recent starting XI.

    • @Ruth,I was going to say its 4-3-3 too,but looking at it Cutrone is at the ‘Ronaldo role’ not Silva,so its all confusing.

        • Gattuso talked about this when he took over and said that Cutrone is more likely to play out wide due to his work rate.

          • Yes i also remember him saying that, but i think that would be a wrong choice,Silva is the better fit.

          • I’d also think that Silva would be better there due to his technical abilities tbh!
I have nothing against seeing him there. Worth a shot.

  3. This line up will bring us face Sinter in next match.
Not sure about Calabria, hes defend too deep. But maybe Rhino choosed him for that.
Hopes the formation will work, so we can start using this all season left without feel fast heartbeat….

  4. @kaka22 Silva is definitely the man playing Rinaldo he has speed and knows just well how to cut to his right foot and take a better shot, and am so sure he will shine there

  5. I think it’s more like 4-4-2 than 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 because in previous match Rino tested this formation for 30 minutes. anyway the it’s probably the best lineup right now. I hope silva and cutrone play good so we can see less of Kalinic in the future.
Christante & Petagna are really good options for winter. maybe with Kalinic money we could get them

  6. The 4-2-2-2 lineup setup is super offensive, as we got only 2 in the middle. With 3 CBs one of them can help cover, but with 3 is rather risky. But I guess against Verona it should be fine.

    • I think we need to offload Kalinic .
      then bring Bacca back .
we can offload Biglia in the summer if he does not pick up.
we could bring back academy graduates
      Cristante and Verdi.

    • It’s all about how the players interpret their roles in that formation. Atletico Madrid used to play the most defensively astute game using this formation.

      • Fair enough, you’re right as usual. But Suso isn’t much of a defender, and woth Calabria flanking him our right is practically wide open.

  7. does were our players before we don’t nid dem we shouldn’t b suggesting mediocrety into d squad again Bcos we already av dm much.dey r beta players out dey plse dat can make quality difference.some players r meant to shine in small clubs when dey come to big ones dey bcome woefull let dem b.forza milan

  8. just made my point auto correct or not English or German it makes no difference.does are not the caliber of players we need.stop promoting mediocrety to our squad we have enough already.

  9. Wtf is this shit with Donnarumma? If it is true and comes out, he never loved Milan. Then I rather see him leave than stay.

  10. Gattuso is playing Cutrone on the left wing because he wants to make him a starter and mainstay in his first Xi.
Gattuso is working out something, just wait and see.
    Forza Milan

  11. Hope we can build on the last result and continue improving. we are desperate for some consistancy.
The 4 man defance give us much needed movement. we dont have much pace going on in this team so having fullbacks who can overlap the wingers to create movement and passing options was much needed. Makes the whole team more fluid.

  12. @Ruth,i also think Silva is better suited there well lets see how it plays out cos i remember Gattuso saying Cutrone is better suited there cos of his workrate.

  13. I know Rino is not d most qualified coach but I wish him d luck that followed Zeneden that make him coach Madrid. I Rilly wish our legend coaches Milan and rhino is here, I just pray it works out

  14. Historically speaking, 4-3-1-2 is the way to go for Milan. I want this formation to go well for Milan so bad that I’m considering Marco Giampaolo the best option for our bench.

  15. offtopic: The Donnarumma roumers seems to be true as there have been no official statement from him, his agent nor the club. which means they probably are in contact and nothing is desided. I think its time for him to leave, if it is true. Cuz this is not good for the dressing room. He is excellent player, but I think he creates more problems than benefits

    • I agree with U on that. I really like this guy. But if all he cares about is money and fame, then let it be that way.

    • This is the reason I’d be more devastated if Locatelli left compared to Donnarumma. You can see Locatelli’s passion for our shirt, Calabria and Cutrone as well. Look at Donnarumma’s body language when things are going against us.
I lost respect for him during the summer, whether or not it’s him or Raiola doing all this. Raiola has Bonaventura and Abate as his clients as well but you havent heard a single thing from them. When Abate was at his best he was being courted by PSG, but he still stayed here, he even agrees to being played less nowadays, that’s loyalty.

    • I lost all of my respect for him in summer and I simply don’t care. I think we made a mistake keeping him (even if the stories are false)
Bring back Plizzari. Gabriel & Sign a young goalie like Scuffet or Perin.
Even if all stories are false he should have said something to calm fans.

    • yep exactly, keeping someone who does not want to be here is just problematic in so many ways. And with Plizzari waiting in the shadows it wouldnt be the biggest loss. With the attitude he have shown the last year, it feels like sooner then later he will be leaving.

Atleast we got a official statement from the club
“Gigio is a sporting and economic heritage of the club. He is contracted with the club until 2021 and everybody at the club is always in contact with him. He has a great relationship with his manager and with the director of sport Mirabelli.”
Not that this answared much but

  16. The Donna’s issue popped up again.

Apparently Fassobelli played Mino (with help of Gigio’s parents) when Gigio signed a new contract, there was an agreement for a buy out clause between the parties but when Gigio signed, Fassobelli gave him a different contract *without* clause and subsequently that was deposited to the league. Mino has found out and has decided to wage legal law except the previous contract is cancelled (since it wasn’t their collective agreement). Fassobelli now has the power to sell Gigio at their own dictated price and when they wish to let him go, this is Mino’s concern and he’s already in touch with Fassobelli to figure out the best solution for all parties.

  17. Now almost everybody z talking of good selection n formation. hope we will not come back to crucify him ( de coach ) should de unexpected happens.let keep de spirit high!!!! Forza Milan!!!!!

  18. I can’t stand that pigaiola. Honestly maybe donnarumma has lost some passion for playing for milan but I’ve lost much passion for him too.last year I was proud and go nuts to see him perform, this year it’s like whatever I don’t care. If they want to go on say we made them sign the contract and they want to leave in January then they can screw off. Donnarumma just like in the summer can easily say a simple interview that he’s happy here, but yet he let’s his idiot agent stir the pot and say dumb things. Honestly if we sell him for 70m then see Ya later, I’m just tired of all this

  19. Suso is best & consisten player we’ve, we all knew that he fail as trequartista many time…
i suggest 433 with Silva as LW, he’s faster & skillful to cut inside / beat def / long shot while Cutrone is better in positioning / strength / link up,
    or just try classic 442…

  20. Ronaldo wants Silva at Madrid, if that doesn’t tell you what you need to know about Silva then I don’t know what will.

Also, we should buy back Cristante, 5m option from Benfica, Petagna, where we have a sell on percentage and Verdi, who Inter are interested in in January. The are solid depth to the squad, young and Milan. We only get better by growing the right way, not splurging 200m on some football manager spending spree.

    • No to Cristante, Petagna and maybe to Verdi. These players are only good in mid-table teams. They cannot handle the pressure of the Milan shirt. We need proven players like Aubameyang, Marco Reus, Pulisic, and Kovacic.

Dortmund and Real Madrid are in a transition phase and they will look to offload some of their players. Now is the time for Milan to get some quality players that are good with the ball at their feet.

Çalhanoğlu, Biglia and Donnarumma are a waste of time and money. Would be great to offload them next summer or as early as January if PSG, Real Madrid or some Turkish club come calling.

  21. We need to win this, the players play with great fear after the results we had lately. Forza Milan and as always I except nothing less than a win!

  22. I’m loving the news about how Fassobelli didn’t rubberstamp the clauses within Donnarumma’s contract. I’m guessing Fassone went to the toilet, then deliberately didn’t wash his hands in the bathroom before sealing the deal with Raiola.. Then I guess they shook hands, signed the release clauses.. then Fassone says: “I’ll just pop out to fax these off to Serie A HQ”. But as he walks back to the Casa Milan fax machine, he balls up the paper, stuffs it in his mouth, chews it and swallows it down full.

  23. For the January window,
We should offload Kalinic, Gomez, Paletta (neither get playing time) and hakan. We should see if we can bring Bacca back to have cover for the striker position. Also i think we should try to loan Dani Ceballos from Madrid as he is seeking playing time. I would try to get Deulofeu on loan with obligation to buy and we need a backup for Kessie (Kucka?)
