Borini: “This result burns and losing like this hurts, my performances? I owe it to the hard work I put in”

Fabio Borini was disappointed after the 3-2 defeat against Inter and said it’s better to not look at the standings.

Few expected Borini to work so well as a wingback and also against Inter at Stadio San Siro last night, the ex-Sunderland man was one of the better performers.

But again, it was not enough as despite equalizing the match twice through Suso and Jack Bonaventura after Mauro Icardi’s goals, it was the Argentine striker who smiled at the end as the Diavolo gave away a silly penalty in the 90′ minute and lost the match. It’s now three losses in a row for Milan, who are 10th in the table after 8 matches.

“I’m pleased to receive the personal compliments,” Borini told MilanTV after the match. “But this result burns. Losing like this hurts. We played a really good game. Unfortunately, they scored twice from unlucky incidents in our best moments. Now, we have to look ahead and focus on the next matches.

“The difference between the two halves? It was not a matter of attitude. In Italy, you tend to focus more on the defensive phase in the first half, in the second spell we played with more aggression and pressed higher up the pitch; we created chances, causing Inter problems. The Serie A standings? No, let’s not look at it. Let’s think game by game, or even better let’s just focus on Thursday.

“My new role? I appreciate the compliments from the staff and my team-mates, I won’t praise myself. I owe it to the hard work I put in in every training as if I was playing a match.”

work on the simple things like passing and crossing… better still
learn from Perisic how not to waste balls. I must confess that you have the right attitude but you need to go back to the basics

He’s been actually decent for the last few games.
Shows how the team is in disarray with Motella at the helm.

Borini is a waste of space and always makes sure he gives the fans the right “sound bites” to try and keep them off his back. He can stink Milan out now like he did Sunderland… keep it up Fraudio

efosa

Alexmilan

Respect guys… We losed 3 times in a row, but he always got 7/10 point from Football Italia site in thats all match.
Maybe he’s flop, but not in this game. Specially in second half.
After all, we were playing good enough against team that have better luck than us…
