Jose Sosa has turned down the offer from Turkey again and he will remain in the squad at least until January.

Milan were looking to sell the Argentine midfielder despite not being able to sign a replacement due to the fact that the window in Italy is closed, but Sosa has once again rejected Trabzonspor, despite being offered a huge amount of money.

Sosa wanted to leave Turkey last summer and it seems that regardless of the money, he doesn’t intend to come back. According to TMW and Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the 32-year-old was offered a three-year deal worth €5m net per season, plus a €5m signing bonuses.

The midfielder, who last season was mostly used in the regista position which he’d never played in his career before, decided he wants to stay at Milan. The Rossoneri would have pocketed €6-7m from his sale, which is roughly what they paid Beşiktaş for him last season. His deal expires in June 2018.

Sosa has been included in the Europa League squad list and he represents another option in midfield for Montella, who will need to rotate the squad a lot this season as Milan play in 3 competitions.

You know what, I’m actually quite impressed by his desire to make it at Milan rejecting a 5m per year salary in Turkey. He was not used in his position last year, he might be a very useful squad player for our Europa League campaign. Good luck Jose!

Loved some of his performances last season. This guy wants to prove himself and we should let him. He is maybe the second best passer in our team and we only tried him in 4-3-3. So respect to the guy who rejected money to stayed with us and fight for his minutes

Cant blame him realy. He wanted to leave Turkey and got his dream move to ac milan. Why would he go back and sign a 3 year contract. His plans is probably to return to argentina when his contract at milan runs out. He have a plan for himself and are executing it. He is a good squad player. Just hope he dont play ragista as my belifs are that he is alot better in other positions.

Sosa, Mati and Bertolacci are all in the same class. Far below average and it’s strange that Sosa play ahead of Loca, Kucka and even poli. Not as if he is a B2B player or creative. In any case, we have much more better players now and he will eventually have to leave in January. Not sure if that new guy from Germany with number 10 jersey has much to offer either

The supporters said “Dollarumma” and now are calling Sosa mad for rejecting that money. Ridiculous.

Don’t blame him really. With all the stuff that’s going on in Turkey, I wouldn’t want to have my family put in danger for the sake of a few more mil a year. A few more years with Milan and he can go back to Argentina and live peacefully. I would do the same.
