Stefan Simic has extended his contract and then left the club to get minutes.

After a year on loan at Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz and positive performances in the U21 EURO’s earlier this summer, Simic returned to the squad of Vincenzo Montella but he’s now on the move again.

It was a very interesting day for Simic. It started with him rejecting a move to Crotone and then he was close to going back to his first club and join Slavia Prague. But that move collapsed & afterwards he was said to be close to joining Levante.

And in the end, Crotone tried again; There was a meeting at Casa Milan and they managed to get the signature of the 22-year-old center back. “Crotone announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis from Milan, the football player Stefan Simic,” a statement on the Pitagorici website reads. Since his contract was due to expire in 2018, before making the move he first extended it until 2020.

Simic was only briefly involved with Milan in pre-season and was never going to get minutes this season with Bonucci, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Zapata, Paletta and Gustavo Gomez all still here.
