Milan have initiated talks to sign Pietro Pellegri and his agent says that in January there could be something.
Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli’s focus on the last day of the transfer market was the sale of M’Baye Niang and the Youth Sector, and after sending the Frenchman to Torino in a €15m deal, they also seem to have made progress in the Pietro Pellegri front.
The highly-rated striker, who plays for Genoa, has attracted interest from Juventus and Inter as well and Pellegri’s agent Giuseppe Riso was at Casa Milan today for the second week in a row, to discuss the 16-year-old and his 15-year-old teammate and midfielder Eddy Anthony Salcedo Mora.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have ‘booked’ Pellegri for January and his agent seems to have confirmed it could be the month for Pellegri’s switch to red and black. “Milan have laid the foundations for one player,” Riso explained to Milannews.it when asked about Pellegri and Salcedo.
“We’ll see, now I can’t say anything. Milan are thinking about the future, in January, now is too soon. They’ve had a great summer transfer campaign, and the fact they’re thinking about the future is a big sign, they’re starting to think about how they want to move in January.”
Sky reports Milan’s initial intention was to sign both Pellegri and Salcedo this summer and keep them at Genoa for two more years. But since it’s the deadline day, everything is postponed to January.
