Sosa’s agent: “You never know what could happen until the end of August, but Jose’s desire is to remain at Milan”

Jose Sosa’s agent, Bilardo, has denied the Boca Juniors rumours and insists the player wants to stay at Milan.

Coach Vincenzo Montella left Sosa out of the squad to face Craiova last Thursday, explaining that this decision is based on the transfer market (the same also applied to Carlos Bacca and Gabriel Paletta).

The 31-year-old midfielder, who was mostly used in the regista role at Milan last season, has been linked with a return to Turkey and also with Boca, but his agent claims that Sosa doesn’t want out.

“The intention is to stay at Milan, so the Boca story is a bit of lie,” Favio Bilardo told Milannews.it on Saturday.

“Nobody called us from Boca. Sosa wants to stay at Milan, having said that you never know what could happen until the end of August, but the desire is to remain at Milan. That has always been the plan.”

I guess Sosa is hoping to lift a cup or two with us this time, otherwise it’s totally irrational to stay where you’re sure you won’t be playing much.

Milan should get players with European experience also and not serie A experienced players alone, because im certain we would do well in the league this season, but it will be tough for us in Europe. Most of the players we bought, including the old ones have no European experience except for the likes of Bonucci, Musacchio, Calhanoglu and Abate.

I say the same things that I said about him 20 days ago (when he rejected a 6m offer from Antalyaspor) “Please leave. Why would you at the age of 32 want to stay somewhere you’re not wanted, anyway?” and, “Now that we are revamping the squad we should sell these players while they’re still worth something. Kucka, Paletta, Sosa and others are at a certain age and will leave for free in the following years if not now.” I think pocketing 15m from those three players who are/were all on the wrong side of 30 and not exceptional players… Read more »

He’s not doing anything wrong though.
He has a contract here.
And if he wants to risk being frozen out of squad and stay here, then so be it.
Apparently we are rich enough to throw money left and right now on luxury signings. Sure we can pay his salary.

if u a 32yo player with big salary & no chance in national squad, what u’ll do?
he’ll do what bogarde did in chelsea, play or not it’s doesn’t matter as long as he get pay,
put him as back up, free loan out or release (we’ve to pay penalty)

No point staying SOSA except you just want to collect your pension and leave next year else, its honourable to leave now. I like him but the tides changed and he has to realise that.
