Leonel Vangioni has bid Milan goodbye, just over 12 months after joining.

Vangioni made the jump to European football last summer but his story there ends after just one year, as yesterday he completed a move to Mexican side Club de Fútbol Monterrey (C.F. Monterrey).

They confirmed his signing yesterday, through an official statement on their website, which you can read here.

The 30-year-old is believed to have signed a three-year contract with Los Rayados and there’s still no word on the fee (if any) Milan will get from selling him. The Rossoneri signed him on a Bosman.

Initially it was thought that Vangioni would return to River Plate but the two parties could not come to an agreement.

Leonel made 15 appearances for Milan last season and won the Supercoppa Italiana with them in December. He’s now returning to South America in search for more consistent playing time.

The seria a starts in 3 weeks, montella better starts getting his team together and stop experimenting,I don’t want to keep seeing players like Zapata, paletta, niang on d pitch not even on d stand

rosso138

1. you dont want your main players injured in preseason in some friendly matches
2. you want to market those players you want to sell
3. you want to see if any of those players deserve a chamce

im sure Montella wont go into season with cb pair of Zapata Paletta.

pato

If nobody buys, will you force Montella to chase them out of Milan? Let us not just be writing things anyhow… pi

Kaka22

Who is asking to chase them out? I just don’t want to see them on d pitch

Abata and Zapata ate the oldest milan player in the current team who had player with must of our legends.. i know Bunucci is a leader same goes with Biglia Mussachio and Montolivo.. But Those two Abate and Zapata will transfer the dressing room spirit to the new signings and youth players considered them sharing dressing room spirit with the likes of Gattuso, Ambrosini , Nesta, even Mexes… at lease just for this season as a backup cuz i dont fully trust Mussachio with injuries
