Milan expected to get Deulofeu answer from Everton on Wednesday, Jose Sosa set to stay at the club

Milan will most likely learn tomorrow if they can sign Gerard Deulofeu on loan (without an option to buy) while VP Adriano Galliani has revealed that Jose Sosa will not be leaving the Rossoneri.

Milan are on the market solely for a winger, namely Deulofeu and after days of silence, the Rossoneri made renewed contacts with Everton on Tuesday.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, the English club will most likely give Milan a final answer regarding the 22-year-old Deulofeu tomorrow.

“An answer tonight? No, no… we are talking about it and it takes time, we negotiate, talk, chat and discuss,” Adriano Galliani said today regarding Deulofeu.

The offer of Milan is a ‘dry’ loan, meaning without an option to buy. This is because of clauses in Deulofeu’s contract which give Barcelona a buy-back option and certain benefits which make the loan + option route unfeasible. The Rossoneri can’t buy him permanently either as they don’t have any budget for this market.

The Spaniard, who can play on both wings in attack, wants to join the club and Sky reports that there is optimism in the Milan camp that the answer of Everton will be positive and the player will join. The Diavolo want an alternative for Suso on the right wing as at the moment there is only Honda.

Galliani meanwhile also confirmed that “we have decided with the coach that Jose Sosa will remain at Milan.” Sosa, who joined this summer is said to be wanted by Fenerbahce and Chinese clubs.

Thanks Fester, another project that will end without any progress for the club. All the while we can find another young talent that can grow with the club. And some say they will miss this clown.

Aah that dreaded dry loan again. This deal might be good for short term once over but ive never seen successful entity which relies heavily on short term plans only

I hope sosa stays as we need a back up for locatelli. He is the only player on pur bench that spray long passes with good accuracy. Not even bertolacci should be considered for the registra position.

Any delufou is not good. A dry spell is okay as we just need him as a back up. Both pasalic and deulufou can return to EPL once this season ends

He could really help us out this season because Niang seems to have lost it (for now) and Honda’s not an option.. Too bad it’s a “dry loan”.

Imagine 2 capable wingers in rest of the season? Bacca and Lapadula are going to be so happy. Niang on the other side would just have to straight out his sh** and start working harder. I mean that boy is just loosing it.

I don’t understand why we don’t try to get Pastore on loan, with Draksler he don’t have place in team, he is our fan… six month, make ome deal to share his salary, he definitly can help us to reach cl spot, just send Sosa to china or vhereever, and why don’t get rid of Honda, his salary is 2,5 miions and he don’t play

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY… plus lack of direction, with the 30mil we spent on Berto we could have gotten at least a top class midfielder by now, even Badelj would have come and he’s not even worth 30 mil, we spent 7.5mil on Sosa and i think 7.5mil on Mati even when we all knew he is injury prone, i mean with 15mil we could have added a decent midfielder, dont get me wrong thats not to say these are bad players but maybe not the type of players we actually needed, imagine Kucka, how much did we get him?

I get your point but we didn’t pay 7.5m for Mati. He is here on loan that cost less than 1m euros

I’m baffled that Delofeu doesn’t get playing time at Everton. Every time I’ve seen him play there he has been a threat to the opposition. I would love to get him. Everton has already turned us down though.

Im not really enthusiastic talking about todays’ transfer. If he comes, I welcome him and wish him a good time here. But if he doesn’t Im okay (get used to this feeling) Im more interested in talking about our possible future once the money arrives. Maybe some of you are tired about this but Belotti is a must buy and we are the most possible club to sign him (in my opinion). Foreign clubs have a big clause to pay, meanwhile in italy, he has been toro’s idol so there is nearly no way to Juve. Roma, Inter, Milan and… Read more »

If Orsolini is cheap why didn’t we get him? Why did they let him go to Juve so easily?

What about the 100 million we were supposed to get for the transfer window?

Do you guys think Berlusconi might get cold feet about selling the club because the team is doing well with young Italian talent? I mean why does the sale of the club keep getting pushed back ??

The reason for it being a dry loan is because Barcelona has a buy-back clause in the contract. This is a reason why I dont want him, he is a talented player, but let’s say if he starts playing well and consistently at a high level, then immediately Barcelona will swoop in with their annoying “Barca DNA” etc. No thanks to that. He has quality definitely, but like I said no thanks to that. We need a new winger, I would want us to for Keita as he fits our current youth project, AND he has serie A experience. In… Read more »

Cutrone was promoted so if there won’t be anyone coming I’m all for this kid to step up, seeing how Donnarumma, Calabria and Locatelli are doing.

Also I hear a lot about Federico de Piano from Primavera, another midfielder on the rise with great potential. Could turn out to be another hit starting next season

Seems to be a break through in the negotiation. According to Sky Italia this evening, Everton have agreed to let him go on loan with option to buy as proposed by Milan.

I’m following this deal because i really want this boy to join us. He’s a quality winger and Suso will help him settle quicker.

It’s official! Deulofeu on loan! I hope he plays lw and has a huge impact! Has to be better than niang. We have serious pace and players who can beat a guy down those flanks now! Put bonaventura back in cm to make that midfield stronger (even though he’s been playing great in the lw position) anyways all the best deulofeu and who knows if you prove yourself maybe in the summer it’ll be permanent. FORZA MILAN!

Deulofeu done on dry loan with no option to buy. We have strengthened our squad with a top quality winger.
