The Rossoneri are making an effort to convince Everton to send Deulofeu to Milan, while it’s suggested that M’Baye Niang and Davide Calabria won’t leave.
Milan are looking for a winger and after the Chinese decided to block a move for Ascoli’s Riccardo Orsolini, the Rossoneri in the last days have been focusing on Everton’s 22-year-old Gerard Deulofeu.
According to this morning’s il Corriere della Sera and yesterday’s report on MilanTV, the Diavolo have sent a request to Everton, asking for the ex-Barcelona right winger on loan with option to buy.
It remains to be seen if the Premier League outfit would be willing to accept this formula as Sky reported that Roma already tried the same move and were faced with a ‘no’. Deulofeu, who is seen at Milan as an alternative for Suso, joined the Merseyside side in 2015, scoring 8 goals in 74 games.
MilanTV adds that at the moment, the Rossoneri are not considering any names for midfield but if an opportunity arises during the month then they could act on it. The club’s TV channel also claims that M’Baye Niang and Davide Calabria are considered off the market by the red and black club. Keisuke Honda meanwhile, doesn’t have any requests but he doesn’t seem to be viewed as unsellable.
Galliani has already said that not much will happen in January. Montella will need reinforcements to fight for a place in Europe and a winger, perhaps Deulofeu, appears to be the priority.
