A double blow for the Rossoneri who will miss Giacomo Bonaventura and Matias Fernandez at least for one game.
Milan are in a great form and after Juventus’ 3-1 defeat to Genoa yesterday, they find themselves tied with Roma in second, just four points behind the Massimiliano Allegri’s Bianconeri.
But today coach Vincenzo Montella received some bad news in the form of injuries to two of his players.
“Milan announces that Giacomo Bonaventura has suffered a first-degree strain to his left hamstring, while Mati Fernandez has suffered a first-degree strain to his right abductor. Both players will undergo further exhaminations in 7 days time,” a statement on the Diavolo’s website reads today (Monday).
Mati left the pitch on Saturday evening already after 10 minutes due to the injury but Bonaventura completed 90 minutes and was also directly responsible for Milan’s third goal of the night as his cross, which followed his terrific run from midfield, hit Empoli’s Andrea Costa and entered to his own goal.
The two will obviously miss the match against Crotone on Sunday (12:30 CET) and are also in a big doubt for the match with Roma at Stadio Olimpico on the 12th of December at 21:00 CET.
