Luca Antonelli could make his return so one of Abate and De Sciglio will be able to rest while Montella seems to be leaning towards starting Lapadula on Saturday.
After the Derby della Madonnina, Milan return to the pitch on Saturday evening and there could be some changes in the line-up against Empoli (20:45 CET kickoff).
Bacca is injured and out of the match, and according to Sky Sport 24’s Enrico Cerruti, Gianluca Lapadula is the one likely to start in attack instead of Carlos. The other options are Luiz Adriano starting or M’Baye Niang moving to the central striker role, but Sky believes that Montella will give a third start to Lapadula.
Cerruti also reports that Montella is considering to rest one of Ignazio Abate and Mattia De Sciglio and so Luca Antonelli, who hasn’t played since the 25th of September, could find space vs Empoli.
