Vincenzo Montella is expected to welcome back Luca and Mati for Sunday’s clash with Palermo as the list of injuries shortens.
Milan visit 19th placed Palermo on Sunday at Stadio Renzo Barbera (15:00 CET kickoff) and coach Montella has received some good news this week ahead of the clash as two of his long term injured men are ready to return to action.
Over the past few days, Luca Antonelli and Matias Fernandez have been training regularly with the rest of the squad and unless there will be surprises – they will be named by Montella on Saturday and will travel with the team to Sicily to play the boys of Roberto De Zerbi.
Antonelli sustained an injury to his right soleus muscle during a training session on September 28 and hasn’t been available since, while Mati suffered a thigh injury while playing for his country Chile on international duty on September 7. Due to it, the summer signing hasn’t made his Milan debut yet.
Antonelli and Mati are ready to get back into the mix but it will take a bit longer for Davide Calabria and Andrea Bertolacci, although the two could be back already after the break, in time to play Inter.
Good news better competition amongst the players for first eleven. meanwhile to Bacca I must advise him to behave himself. He’s not bigger than the coach and he must understand that others will play too.
Agreed. Yes, Bacca is a good poacher with good scoring record, but he is not greater than the team. If he’s systematically trying to exit the club to join his former coach at Sevilla, Emery who is now at PSG, no problem – as long as we get a really good sum from the sale, so we can bring in reinforcement.
But if we can get some kind of swap deal with PSG for Verratti and Bacca i would take it, we have Lapadula here, and he is more hard working and given the chance, he will step up!
We need team players, not players who rely on others to provide service for them. But then again, Bacca staying with us is also a good idea, so i don’t think we should really cash in on him in January!
Bacca is not on very good times with Montella
The truth z dat montella z nt guud in making subtitutions ,there are sum matches dat montellas subtitution wuld av cost us d game 4 example d pescara match n odas lyk torino,juve…..bacca z our main striker n d coach shuld alwaz put alot of confidence in him 2 enable him play beta n score more bt in as many matches milan av played bacca hav only playd 90 minutes jst 2wice wish z bad 4 our main strikers moral…..let tak a look at d match against low pescara wia he opted 2 tak off bacca in order 2 cover… Read more »
Oh! I got sick after reading just teo lines. Is typing properly that hard?
so annoying, can you typing with the good grammar.. in indonesia we call ‘ALAY’ who’s typing like that!
its called “spelling” not grammar mate.
He’s not just a good goal getter, but also a good guy. Everyone has got a bad side that sometimes show up. Have you ever asked yourself when and why Bacca behaves badly: No.1 reason is when he has not scored in a game looking fiunny and he’s subd. No.2 is when we have accumulated so many bad results and the chances of CL qualification seems like a far cry. Guys I love Bacca, I love his jealousy too bcos its a healthy one that most people who do not look with insight may not be able to understand. He… Read more »
BACCA didn’t do anything too bad. He was Frustrated with his goal draught that’s all.Bacca is not bigger than the Coach but BACCA have no size in the Team simple!!!!
Inspiro@Ghana i agree with u bacca love Milan becuz so much due to that love he recjeted à big money move last summer to Wesham united and PSG to join his former boss i like Carlos because he not à injure pro……
The problem is bacca has done this more than once when substituted and he needs to understand that milan have other players, and montella replaced him with Adriano late in d game cos Adriano can hold up play more than bacca.
Montella played down that incident. Media is just hyping things up. He is a player who can attract transfer rumours. When Muntari threw the Milan jersey to ground, the media did not create half the frenzy.
There are very few players better than Bacca and are affordable and are ready to join us.
In my opinion, it seems that the 433 that Montella employs does not favour Bacca’s style, but he is always giving his all. He is more of a traditional No. 9, and his eye for goal is unquestionable. I have observed the matches this season, and it seems that when Milan does not have possession in the final third, Bacca has always been more than willing to close down the opposition (yes and I do acknowledge that he is not the only one pressing high up). On the other hand, when Milan does have possession, the likes of Jack, Niang,… Read more »
