Rodrigo Caio, who is considered in the media as ‘the new Thiago Silva’, is reportedly the first target of the Chinese Milan who are looking to strike a deal already this summer; there’s competition.

Milan signed Gustavo Gomez from the Argentine champs Lanus this summer but are already thinking about adding a new center back to the squad – but in January.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia, with the new owners and the influx of Chinese money expected to arrive for the January market, the Rossoneri are interested in signing Sao Paulo’s 23-year-old center back Rodrigo Caio.

Caio, who is a starter for the Brazilian Olympic side who yesterday beat Honduras 6-0 in the semi-finals, is wanted by Sevilla for this window but Milan are trying to find an agreement with Sao Paulo that will allow them to keep Caio until January before sending him to Milan in 5 months.

The defender is expected to receive a European passport by the end of August. He will play the final of the Olympics against Germany on Saturday, August 20th in hope to win the Gold Medal.

Nice move if its true.

Mathijs Savicevic

Gazzetta says something about Kovacic and Morata? I think this is a good move too.

Milan10

yes, just this morning la gazzetta had martin luther king in ac milan jersey on the front page with headline, “i have a dream”

MilanFan

They are not saying Milan are interested in Morata but that Milan could try to sign Kovacic in a similar deal to the one Juventus did when they signed Morata (which allowed Real Madrid to take him back)

YK

Guys Nigeria’s Olympic #6 team player(Ekong) would be a good addition to the squad.even Mikel is a better holding midfielder than Monto.. This Caio is promising player.

Milan10

Mekong is a river where heavy drugs used to be smuggled through and ekong’s name is a little too close to mekong so no

Otomilan

Milan10 that was good one:))) 1 like from me:)))

bawse

morata??????? that will never happen…..lool…..we can’t afford him…..and Madrid need him so bad that dey rejected juves 38m where he prefer to be…..so forgerrit

Mathijs Savicevic

Ok, I did not believe it too about Morata. Would be too strange. But Kovacic and Diawara would be a good begin to start the reorganization.

ardi

MIlan should try to use Poli or berttolacci in the deal of Diawara, they can not jyst buy players they have to make room for players so they get to play.

ardi

I will like Caio but Milan has to meny CB right now if they get Caio to, they should sell paletta vergara and zapata . so there will be more playtime for Ely and Gomez as they are great talents.
Jyst don´t get Lazar Markovich, he is a flop.
If milan want a right wing Yarmoleno or Berardi spend 5/7 Million more but you have a player who is alot better than Markovich. and a can dicide maches on their own.

Mathijs Savicevic

That should be a good idea. Poli and bertolacci to swap. They are too mediocre for milan.
Indeed, yarmolenko s much better than niang. Could be very useful

C

Lol they will try but they will eventually resign Mexes or Alex instead

ACE

Diawara Has Gone To Aston Villa.

ACMilanLover

why would he go to a second division club?? They have offered the most money but he wants to stay in Italy …

#1Milan Fan South Africa

vergara is the worst CB i have seen in a milan shirt,i think we should sign Ciao

Beto 007

Kovacic is garbage, another mediocre player. Enough

TRUETALK

OMG! I’m Nigerian… How on earth would u recommend Ekong for us? you think #Milan is a club where we sign just any mediocre player? Ekong just had good game against Germany, He is such an AVERAGE defender, not strong, not intelligent enough… I mean, if Milan were to be built around ‘Nigerian’ players, i would rather recall a certain ‘Teribu West’ or as well call back ‘Taye Taiwo’ lol.
Sentiments aside, Ekong is a BIG NO for us.
As always, Milan till d 4kn casket!
#Forza Milan.

RossoKaka

Maybe the best rumor i have heard this summer, i absolutely love Rodrigo Caio

Nas

Totally agree, hope we move fast before his price soars due to being in the Olympics and showing his class to the entire footballing world!

Hachim

really want this Caio dude!!! need to sort the team from the back first, before anything.
we not going to out score anybody, so the next best thing is to make sure you don’t let many in.

Comment: at this stage I think Milan is a Lil balance. all we just need now is a creative midfielder buy the sao Paulo player is a plus but you need to make room for this young guys . they are the future …we perfect in the front and a Lil good at the back just that midfield …Sosa hmmm good signing

Manwal Harb

Thiago Silva played well in the 2008 Olympics, which made Milan buy him, but he could not play until January.
With Rodrigo Caio, it almost feels like deja vu.

Rossonero 23

And now Barca is also after him… 🙁

donremie

What Milan need most is a good midfield, whilst move for ciao is not bad, I think we need to sell dead logs in d midfield n invest in a great creative midfielder like James rodrigues, isco etc, we can pay in installments over 2 seasons
