Manuel Locatelli, Andrea Poli and Alessio Romagnoli are all tipped to make starts tomorrow but the former Roma man will apparently be fielded in a new role.
Milan find themselves fighting for a place in next year’s Europa League on the last matchday of the 2015/16 season and tomorrow (Saturday) they host Roma who they will have to beat while hoping Inter take points from Sassuolo.
However even if Milan fail to get back to 6th tomorrow they will still have a chance to be in Europe next season but for that to happen they’ll have to cause a big upset and beat reigning champions Juventus in the Coppa Italia final next Saturday night at the Olimpico Stadium in Rome.
And if the probable XI’s reported in the press on Friday evening are any indication then it seems as though Cristian Brocchi has more hopes of beating Juventus than finishing in 6th. According to Milannews.it & Gazzetta.it, Brocchi is planning to keep the 4-3-1-2 but there will be several changes.
Ignazio Abate wasn’t included in the squad but while Mattia De Sciglio was and is fit, it seems as though Alessio Romagnoli is preferred over him to start on the left side of the defense (first time this season) with Davide Calabria on the other side & Philippe Mexes-Cristian Zapata in the middle.
Riccardo Montolivo experienced the birth of a daughter this week and didn’t train normally so he could start the match from the bench with Manuel Locatelli playing in his place. The 18-year-old is expected to be joined by Juraj Kucka and Andrea Poli who is favourite over Jose Mauri. Luiz Adriano will apparently play alongside Mario Balotelli with Carlos Bacca benched / rested.
Probable XI (Gazzetta.it): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Davide Calabria, Mexes, Cristian Zapata, Romagnoli; Juraj Kucka, Manuel Locatelli, Andrea Poli; Keisuke Honda; Luiz Adriano, Mario Balotelli.
