Antonio Nocerino is weighting up his options and declined a move to Turkey as Milan are looking to add another young midfielder to the mix but face competition for Alberto Grassi.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, yesterday (Thursday) Adriano Galliani had a meeting with Atalanta President Antonio Percassi.
The two talked about the 20-year-old midfielder Alberto Grassi, who has 13 appearances to his name this season. Di Marzio states that this was more than a simple inquiry and says that Atalanta have asked to include former Primavera striker Andrea Petagna in the deal should anything happen this January.
Petagna is currently playing on loan at Ascoli where he’s scored 4 goals in 16 matches so far. In any case Fiorentina and Napoli are also interested in the Under 21 man who grew up in the youth sector of Atalanta. So if Milan want to close the deal they will have to work fast to beat the competition.
Meanwhile Nocerino is on the way out. Turkey’s Antalyaspor made him an offer but he declined as he wants to stay in the peninsula. Malaga, Getafe, Lazio & Panathinaikos are interested too.
