The absence of Bonaventura was pretty obvious in the team’s performance. If you look at the highlights, between 0:36s and 0:52s, Niang was in a great position to pass the ball to Bacca and Cerci respectively. He decided to shoot instead. If you don’t have a shot accuracy, it’s better to pass the ball to the teammate who is in a better position. I am not pointing finger at Niang or others, but these are the things that make the difference on the pitch. If it wasn’t Donnarumma, we would have certainly lost the match.
