Gabriel Paletta has left Milan but will return to the club next year as Atalanta don’t have a buy-out option.

Milan needed to sell a defender after Alessio Romagnoli was signed and after the many reports of who it will be between Paletta and Alex, the Italian defender has today officially left the club.

Paletta left Milanello yesterday before training and today he underwent the medical check-ups before signing a one-year contract with Atalanta, who don’t have a buy-out option on the center back.

Atalanta confirmed on their official website that the player has signed and will wear the #29 shirt. He will be presented to the press tomorrow at 14:00 CET.

Michael Agazzi, 31-years-old, has also left club and even though Middlesbrough or Milan haven’t released an official announcement, the goalkeeper does no longer appear on the squad list and is off to England on loan with option to buy.

Paletta out Kucka in. Galliani pls retire this is outrageous!!!

Mc

I think it was Paletta who pushed for this. That’s fine, I don’t think he should stay if he doesn’t want to represent Milan. Milan needs team players not selfish ones. Take a hint Zaccardo.

He knows he’s at the bottom of the pecking order – he sits when he is told to sit and plays when he is told to play – and does not throw his shirt on the ground like the disgraceful Muntari. Zaccardo has a… Read more »

Damne it!! Bad call,, Milan has made the wrong call!

Danza

Our best CB, smh… Terrible decision.

Udochukwu

If he’s that good a big team would have signed him. The man was scared of competing with kids. Let’s move on.

Luke

Exactly!!! He was afraid of competition so I’m glad he left.

Danza

He shouldn’t have to compete with ANY of our CB’s. To the people that actually UNDERSTAND the game, it’s very evident he’s our strongest CB. I read he was told to find a new club as he isn’t in Miha’s plans. Stupidity….

Montenapoleone

Good business at the time to bring Paletta in but was he really that great? He’d look good one game and then so bad the next. Anyone would just think we’ve sold Thiago Silva again. Paletta was the best of a bad bunch IMO.

Milan fan since 94

Lmao very true
