M’Baye Niang scored twice as Milan defeated their first pre-season opponents. Next game is on Tuesday.

After a week of intense training, coach Sinisa Mihajlovic tried out his squad for the first team (although they were missing a lot of players) and the result was positive as the Rossoneri scored five times past Alcione at the Chinetti stadium.

It didn’t start too well for Milan as after four minutes, Gennarelli gave Alcione the lead. But with 19 minutes on the clock, Nigel De Jong found the equalizer through a penalty and just before half time, Alessio Cerci set up Andrea Poli nicely and the midfielder gave Milan the 2-1, and then the forward scored one himself.

Miha made a lot of changes in the second half and introduced many players and the most influential one was M’Baye Niang as the Frenchman scored twice: once in the 50′ minute and then again ten minutes later. Milan could have won by more goals but Nocerino hit the woodwork twice.

Jose Mauri left the pitch before the end with a minor knee problem and was checked on by the medical staff. Hachim Mastour also took part of the game, playing the entire first half.

Abbiati, Abate, Zaccardo, Albertazzi, Calabria, Poli, De Jong, Passina, Locatelli, Cerci, Mastour, Agazzi, Donnarumma, Jose Mauri, Suso, Alex, Mastalli, Nocerino, Curtone and Niang all took part of the match while the returning Mattia De Sciglio, Stephan El Shaarawy, Giacomo Bonaventura, Andrea Bertolacci, Alessandro Matri, Keisuke Honda and Simone Verdi watched from the side.

Milan’s next match is against Legnano on Tuesday at 17:00 CET. A more serious test will arrive later this month when the Diavolo go to China to face Inter and Real Madrid.

Zaccardo should leave like yesterday. I’m sure Mihajlovic purposely playes him for 90mins so Galliani could see the liability he’s been paying for years.

Lucas

Niang needs to get playing time this whole season. If not then he needs to be loaned somewhere where he will play every game.

Wil92

I wish our youths had done the scoring and assisting. Anyways Mihalovic has shown wisdom by playin many if them. For me niang is a senior player due to his experience. mihalovic needs to really work on mastour he needs mihalovic s confidence and guidance more than ever.

il professore

Kick him out asap!

Elvis

how was mastour performance

ChrisMilan

He looked assured on the ball and produced some of his signature drifting runs passed defenders. On the other side, he didn’t have an optimal role to influence the game as he’d like because he played on top next to Cerci. Meaning he had the centrebacks shoving him on the back constantly. Too often he wasn’t able to have his sight towards the opposition’s goal, instead it was vice versa. Hence, he had to swift out of the defence and occaisonally play as a trequartista where he looked much more comfortable. Decent game overall, although you’d like to see him… Read more »

Cryptic

can someone tell us how cerci, nocerino, and mastour performed thank you!

ChrisMilan

Cerci struggled the game throughout. Gave last season’s indications, to be honest.

Nocerino had two shots on the bar and looked decent, tho I just don’t feel he can really establish himself as Milan material.

In regards to Mastour, read the comment above.

ChrisMilan

Also read the part about SES leaving for Monaco.

It would be a tragic day for us. Really.

milanoz

Why would it be tragic? SES was phenomenal in his first year, but that was it. He struggled with injuries for the last two years and hasn’t contributed much. Besides we have way too many attackers already so someone must be out.

ChrisMilan

It’s more of a personal tragic I suppose. Since his first year I’d wanted him to develop and augment his sets of qualities applied to a seconda punta role. He even said himself that he becomes to predictable when cutting inside from the left. I’d still like to see him as one of the core element of our hopes in terms of recreating an italian spine in the team as we’ve always had in our past success stories. He has a salary of €2.4m a year with a contract expiring 2018. It’s still worth to see where it can lead.… Read more »

Is rodrigo ely a very bad player? Why did zacardo start ahead of him????? If this is the case, we better stop looking at witsel and ibra and concentrate on our defense

Cryptic

It seems like non of our titled starters played. Besides Abate and Dejong everyone else was a youngster or new addition hence why not many people played. These games are used to impress the coach and see how his players perform.

nana

Well its only a friendly bt its good da youth players put themselves together . I just hope mastour had a good game. Happy for niang as well but as for bonera’s photocopy called zacardo I just can’t imagine y his stil thinks he is a footballer in the first place. Galliano should just send him parking along with those like him

dante

seriously, what is nocerino still doing with us?

shams

ses is sold to monaco

Papito

It’s not final yet Milan are considering the 22m bid.

Di Marzio reports that he may have his medical on sunday

dapito

gudluck ses… thx for playing at milan…

Maddddd

Tassoti: It’s my duty to prevent another Darmian case. Next headline, SES set to move too Monaco. Tassoti this is where you do some sh*t.. C’mon we can’t sell him he belongs here we know what he can do and dont come with he’s injury prone. SES just had some bad luck.. If he moves I hope he becomes among the best players in the world just so AC Milan can see how wrong they were..

Elvis

why sell El sharawy to Monaco Milan Monaco refused to sell their player to us than why sell el Shaarawy to them

Dodo

Surely do we have think tanks in our management really coz u can’t sell elsha at a bargain price of20m. Again wan’t exchange mastour + money for a player who lookin forward to retire In the next 3 to 4 years. Our future professional . I pray we don’t get ibra coz mastour is going to included in the deal. Forza milan

xiangfu

Comment: precisely the 22m is too small unless there is buy back clause. Good luck el Shaarawy if i were you i will never come to milan again.
I am starting to hate milan unless they win the league or qualify for CL, because i want italian milan is a scam.
Buy next season am very sure juve will bid for him

Chris

I’m loosing faith in Milan. For a fan like me who has been with the club through thick and thin, and we have been through really thin times, Its really a big deal. After promising us many things, we got over the sale of patio, t.Silva, saponara etc, but this is just not fair. I can tolerate loosing even Niang and believe me I like niang but loosing SES is just too much. Why do we think football begins and ends with the attack in Milan? Sell Honda, Menez, montolivo, cerci, nocerino, NOT SES please!!!! #Don’tsellSES please. Please!! I’ll do… Read more »

Conor

It must be hard loosing your faith, is it uncomfortable?
