Adil Rami has officially left Milan to join the La Liga squad while Philippe Mexes is out of the club as well.
The deal was confirmed last week but today the French defender underwent the medical and signed the contract with the back-to-back Europa League winners.
“A smiling and calm guy off the pitch, and very strong on the pitch: Adil Rami, from this morning, is a Sevilla player,” a statement reads on acmilan.com on Tuesday. “From Milan and from all Milanisti a kind and strong embrace. Good luck!”
It was reported last week that Sevilla will pay €3.5m for Rami, who played 44 games with the red and black jersey over the past two seasons. Rami had a poor relationship with former coach Inzaghi and was even quoted as saying that if Inzaghi stays then he’d leave. Pippo has left but so has Adil.
Rami, 29, is not the only center back who waves goodbye to Milan as there are strong confirmations in the Italian media that Mexes won’t be handed a new contract as Mihajlovic doesn’t want him.
