Riccardo Saponara has impressed at Empoli during his loan spell and €4m could be enough for them to buy him.

Saponara left Milan in January and like M’Baye Niang who is at Genoa, he has found success so far on his journey on loan. Contrary to the case of Niang, however, Empoli do have an option to buy Sapo at the end of the season.

According to today’s report on SportMediaset, Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi wants to have Saponara again full time and is ready to invest €4 million and take the midfielder from Milan’s hands.

“The situation at Milan at this time I think is quite complicated,” Sapo told Mediaset. “Giving confidence to a guy on whom you’ve few certainties is objectively complicated. I also had a small knee injury. If I decided so then I would’ve stayed at Milan and the coach also asked me to but I wanted to prove to everyone that I could give much more. Going to a weaker team isn’t a failure, it’s an important chance.

“An Italian Milan? I can’t deny that I’d have liked to be part of it. But I don’t know what could happen a few months from now. Perhaps I’ll need another year of development. I’ll have to consider carefully how far I’ve come on my path and what the best options may be for my future.”

Saponara could be one of many players leaving Milan this season. It’s also worth remembering the likes of Valter Birsa, Antonio Nocerino and Alessandro Matri are all still owned by the Rossoneri.

From mr X,to balancing of books,to youth project…and now its italian milan. Are these guys not tired of deceiving themselves? Or are they not ashamed of still lying? Is milan a club mow or a national team? Just because no quality player outside italy wants to come to milan, they now turn to italian milan side cos of upcoming elections. We are tired of politics, sell milan asap lets start building immedietly under our new owner(s).

Four million is fine imo. He is not good enough and he has never shown anything at Milan. Not every youth player turns into a star. We should have never let go of Cristante, sigh.

flooresens

oh yeah 4M is definitely a fine price, since we only bought him for 6.5M.. LOL
