M’Baye Niang looks set to be the surprise inclusion in the starting XI.

Inzaghi admitted that he’s considering whether to field Alessio Cerci from the first minute or not but with Cerci’s fitness not 100% and Stephan El Shaarawy skipping training on Thursday (he is the squad), M’Baye Niang is the frontrunner to play on the right wing tomorrow.

Gazzetta.it reports that the Frenchman, who has been linked with an exit and received offers from several clubs including Newcastle, is (at the moment) expected to start with Giacomo Bonaventura and Jeremy Menez in attack.

Meanwhile, Pablo Armero is favourite over Mattia De Sciglio to start in the left-back role with Ignazio Abate on the right. Adil Rami is preferred over Alex to play with Philippe Mexes in the middle of the part. De Jong and Riccardo Montolivo will start in midfield along with one of Muntari and Poli.

Riccardo Saponara is in the squad despite the rumours that Milan have found an agreement with Bologna to send Sapo on loan with option to buy in the summer. Atalanta also want him.

Hope to see Niang get some playing time and prove the critics wrong FORZA MILAN

dejan10

I hope he proves us wrong too, but we’ve been saying that for a long time now.

Sheva

Wait! Wasnt bonaventura going to play as midfielder? Now Its either poli or muntari along with de jong and muntari? Strange.. Giancarlo, we should discuss this as civils, how come bonaventura that mostly play in midfield now suddenly dont play? Because hes a striker to inzaghi? Or what is the reason? Lets discuss this.. I claim that inzaghi dont tolarate any creativity in midfield, thats why honda and bonaventura is never in midfield. lets talk giancarlo…

Greg

It’s like Allegri, says the right thing but doesn’t back it up. Remember when Allegri said Milan would play with four attacker, one of whom was Muntari #interestingruns

Mobo Lee

He’s disproving no one here, let him go to where he’ll see another fresh challenge either loan or permanent

Jibola

What has he got to prove with 1 game since arriving at Milan 2 seasons ago? Niang is better else with playing opportunities and chance to develop

RKaY

Exactly he’s hasn’t had proper chances. I hope he gets to go on loan and play regularly. But this also goes for pazzini in the sense that people complain “oh he sucks oh pazzini is in horrible form” so if the guy can’t get a goal in the ten minutes he gets subbed on for then he’s bad. I hope pazzini leaves for the sake of his career. If he starts regularly for any other team in serie a he will score tons of goals.

i will chose montari over poli

Sanoske

Thank God your not the coach

Sheva

The issue here shouldnt be about Niang, it should be how scary it is that inzaghi is stubborn about montolivo- de jong- poli/muntari midfield. Its scary that he dont allow bonaventura play as midfielder. That should be the issue.
We really need another coach, this coach is hopeless as allegri. We need to put creativity in midfield…

Ezra

I guess the best approach would be to give Cerci and Niang a 45mins each. Then, give Pazzini a rare start! I would prefer to have Menez on the left, Jack in Midfield with Monty and NDJ. That is a fast dynamic aggressive midfield with a depth of tenacity. I would prefer a Christmas tree formation to a flappy 4-3-3.

On the niang issue, let’s use yaya sanogo as a comparison, that dude as clueless as he seems gets to start league and champions League games, that’s someone who niang is far better than but still gets playing time, it will be a shame even if niang dosent perform too well today and people still criticize him…a big shame it will be. I remember how allegri stuck with elsha b4 he exploded that season. Playing with continuity gives confidence, armero is an example

Comment:Midfield is the engine room of football teams,if lacks creativity it would starve the team of productivity.
our midfield needs Bonaventura than the attack does, since we have el sha,menez,cerci,e.t.c.Bonaventura should be our own (iniesta)as He could hold on 2 the ball & make good use of it than any of our Midfielders……Forza milan

aguy

@sheva Bonaventura rarely played LCM at Bergamo . he played mostly left or right winger . inzaghi is playing him in his position but is trying to convert him to a MF ala dimaria

chrisrossoneri

I believe that Niang is a talented player and I like pretty much, but seeing that we have too much attackers with Cerci and Suso transfers..I think the best solution is to swap him with Newcastle for Santon + money if it’s possible. (If Niang won’t leave, they may sell SES to create space)

sola

Santon himself is not a left full back…another calamity waiting to happen, which right footed leftback can boast of a long-term success? Azpilicueta? maybe

Don_Bass

Maldini

sola

Maldini was left footed and never played right-back

flooresens

Lol! Surely you never watched him play kiddo.. Dig Youtube!
