It’s reported there’re some differences between Milan and De Jong, who can sign for another team in January.

Milan have a few players with expiring contract at the end of the season and one of them is Nigel De Jong, who was voted the Player of the Season on Rossoneri Blog in 2013/14.

De Jong joined on a three year deal in 2012 and became a constant member in the starting XI of Milan but according to Milannews.it, the situation regarding his contract extension hasn’t be resolved yet.

The Italian website claims that talks have been ongoing between Galliani and De Jong’s agent since late August but the parties have yet to reach an understanding. It’s said that Milan are willing to offer the defensive midfielder a two-year contract with reduced wages, while the demand of the Dutchman is a three-year deal with the same salary he currently earns, €3.5 million.

Schalke have allegedly contacted De Jong’s agent to ask about the availability of the player, who is free to sign for any club starting January. De Jong, 30, recently said that he wants to stay at Milan.

Milan extended the contract of Sulley Muntari in June until 2016, with reported wages of €2.5m.

Shams Arafat

Dejong needs to leave

Bynz

dejong doesnt need to leave what sand pit did you crawled out of i mean really look its a no brainer he starts in all his games hes pretty damn good in midfield give the man the freaking 3 year contract you’ve already wasted money on torres and matri put it to some good use for once muntari and essien combined still aint better than dejong which is sad to say

Shams Arafat

Strootman, Vidal, de-Rossi, naingollan, marchisio, khedira anyone who will play box to box. Not just stand and defend. All of the player mentioned is defensive mid but they make late runs to provide another body in the final third. Dejong needs to leave. Khedira or Lucas silva in

Fatih

If dejong leaves than we must buy khedira
A milan worthy player
He would fit perfect
Monty will than play at middle and khedira right center midfield
He is smart and can run like a horse and is a obstacle to teams that dominate like as roma and juve
I hope we get khedira he will do well with milan labor
Cus he did got injured a few times

Cerci and khedira and milan will be aggain a vife star team
Forza milan

Is Milan blind? Why would they extend Muntari’s contract??

Blarg

Cmon Galliani, dont be cheap. If anyone deserves to remain here on the same wages its De Jong, one of the few good players last season. He always puts everything into each match and even managed to hold his head high during last season when the team went through a miserable run, and you want to lower his wages? Gimme a break…

NumeroUno

Or else get fernando of fc porto ???

Zexu Lin

He’s now at Man City …

Shevchenko

So they increased Muntari’s wages and not only does not increase De Jong’s, but decreases De Jong’s wages…and the guy just asked for the same amount as the current contract…what more can I say?

officialtahir

Let de jong leave and u live to regret it for d rest of d season !

Esso

How the hell couldnthey even think like that … De Jong has been the beat most consistant player in the whole Milan squad since his arrival … Actually him leaving is a SUPER MAJOR LOSS … The guy is pure quality deffinsive midfield … He’s always covering up for the others mistakes and is aggressive … I would even increase his contract financially … His is still very fit based on his performance and he loves Milan … Why be stupid, cheep and unwise to let a quality like this go, especially that he performs really well with the new… Read more »

de jong is the best midfielder we have, he way better than muntari or essien. maybe he’s getting old but he still got it. he still the beast. and yet he only ask the same amount of wage. muntari is a hole most of the time all that reckless tackle, bad pass, false anticipation…yet he got wage raise? what did they see on muntari as they decide to extend his contract until 2016? i can’t digest it….

LionHeart

B&G ARE SO DAMN CHEAP…. IF MILAN CAN RELEASE PIRLO FOR FREE, WHY CANT THEY RELEASE MUNTARI AND ZACCARDO FOR FREE…. MILAN SHOULD GIVE DE JONG THE SALARY HES ASKING FOR . B&G SHOULD STOP BEING A STINGY MOTHERFUCKER . DE JONG IS A BEAST AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT, TO ME, HE’S THE STRONGEST PLAYER IN OUR MIDFIELD. FORZA MILAN …….. NIGERIA

nick

De Jong is already on his way to Man United with Louis Van Gaal. It would be stupid of De Jong to stay at a club that has no ambition other than a 3rd place finish. If De Jong leaves I totally will understand. Players football careers are short – So if he goes for more money and to a club with more ambition we cant blame him. El Sharaawy should be played as trequartista or a role similar to Hamsik. Playing him on the left is no use. He has been found out by the other teams so Inzaghi… Read more »
