SULLEY MUNTARI believes a lot of work still has to be done and says he just wants to work for ‘the team, this shirt and my team-mates’.
Muntari opened his account early this season as he scored Milan’s second goal last Sunday against Lazio but the arrivals of Bonaventura and Marco Van Ginkel, he’ll have to step up his game and show he deserves a spot in every training.
Sulley was today with Riccardo Montolivo and Hachim Mastour at a children’s football tournament in Cesano Boscone for teams from Milan and the surrounding areas. In addition to their presence at the “Amici dell’Istituto Sacra Famiglia” tournament, the three Milan players also handed out the trophies and medals to the children who took part; The 16-year-old Mastour also made it a day to remember for the kids and even took some time out to do some kick-ups with them.
Montolivo: “I feel good, Inzaghi’s enthusiasm impressed me”
Torres, Bonaventura assist and score in Milan training match
Muntari spoke to the press there, saying that it’s important to help at these kind of events and that this is only the beginning of Milan’s journey. “We can and have to be close to these kids,” said the man who renewed his contract in the summer. “They’re less fortunate than us, but the same as us. We’ve to help them and make them feel our closeness. It’s refreshing to see children like this. They only think about playing and they only see the positive aspects. It’s what I always try to do.
“Milan? The aim for the start of the season was to begin well. We still have lots of work to do. We don’t want to give anything up. I’m not interested in goals, I want to work for the team, this shirt and my team-mates. Goals and performances will then come as a consequence. The important thing is that in the end we all do well and we stay united like a family, even in the difficult times. However, I haven’t got any doubts. I’ve seen Fernando Torres, he seems a very calm guy. Bonaventura is a strong player and we have two players that we wanted, even van Ginkel. We want to welcome them like in a family.
“We’re doing what the coach wants, but it’s only the start and it’s not enough. We have to remain humble and focused.” The next game is on September 14th as they face Parma at Stadio Ennio Tardini. Milan’s training will resume on Tuesday.

If you like hate this guy,but i like him and he’s better than Poli and forces himself to use his right foot when needed of him even though he’s a left footer and he knows the meaning of the Milan shirt.
When i want muntari leave milan, he always scores..omg..
When he is play muntari, I enjoyed the game
Good lad…but our mid should be de Jong ..bona…van/muntari for now. I so want Honda to play mid but it wont happen…all d best guys tis is ours
“… said the man who renewed his contract in the summer”…
Sigh…
If he can keep his head cool in important games this season, then i have no problem with him playing
I don’t know what will happen to Milan this season, but I can see players are working very hard and giving their all. Keep it up. Forza Milan!!!!
Hmmmmnnnnnnn dis is jst d begining juve be warned
honda cant defend so that is prob why inzaghi doesnt field him as CM
Muntary explained so good to the press about milan next journey.. its describe that he has a good idea like when he play football also.
It was such a pleasure to see his respect towards the Rossoneri shirt.I just want Poli to leave as he is neither a clinical striker of the ball nor he is a great playmaker.Poli is a par level player who has got more playing minutes than he deserves.
Nice grammar muntari.we have to work hard to win against parma.biabiany will play like hell just to make milan pays for wat they did to him this summer, hope aremero mark him tight…forza milan I just want the 3 point
@ uslar ses. I gave u a tomb up on ur comment. But seriously it was that useless zacarrdo that messed up the biabiany deal. But since the guy had his medical already milan could have agreed to pay instullmentaly instead of embarrassing them selves.
