Torres to Milan confirmed, medical check-ups tomorrow

FERNANDO TORRES will be Milan’s new #9 as agreements with Chelsea and with the player have been reached.

Torres is the first choice of Milan to replace Mario Balotelli, who signed for Liverpool earlier this week in a deal worth €20 million plus bonuses, but negotiations didn’t as smoothly as they hoped. However, Milan have managed to get him.

Earlier on Friday, Torres’ agents met Chelsea to negotiate a severance package but The Blues made it clear that they won’t be giving him any extra money and it appears that the Spaniard has agreed to give up on this demand, and join Milan.

Cristante or Saponara to leave if Van Ginkel joins Milan?
Abate: “We must win back our fans, we believe in ourselves”

Everything is ready for a Torres’ arrival and this was confirmed by both Milan and Chelsea. A deal has been reached between the two clubs & between the red and black club and the 30-year-old striker. There are just some small details left to be settled. “Chelsea Football Club and AC Milan have agreed terms for the two-year loan deal of Fernando Torres to the Italian club. The move is now subject to Fernando agreeing personal terms with AC Milan and passing a medical examination,” a statement on Chelsea’s website reads this evening. The medical check-ups will take place on Saturday.

Officially the deal is a loan but it’s basically a permanent free transfer since Torres’ contract ends in 2016 (when the ‘loan deal’ expires). There is an option for another year (to 2017) included in Torres’ contract with Milan. It’s still not clear how much he will be earning during his spell at Milan. The former Liverpool man will receive the #9 shirt which has been vacant due to Alessandro Matri’s loan move to Genoa. There are now two Spanish players at Milan as Torres joins Diego Lopez.

Torres will sign all the papers tomorrow and complete his Rossoneri transfer. He’ll probably debut against Parma. Taarabt has been seen as an alternative and his agent Kia Joorabchian met Galliani today but Inzaghi can now welcome Torres.

We are doomed!!!

I would have rather gone without then end up with el nino anno 2014 who is old, has no confidence in his own abilities and that is not surprising seeing as he has hardly bagged a goal in important matches for Four years running! Lord have mercy on our ones great club!

acmilanfansworldwide

“hardly bagged a goal in important matches” are you serious at least half his goals were in important matches, he scores where it counts and im sure in serie a he can find back his form just like gervinho, lets not be so quick to rule out a europa, champions league, euro and world cup winner (and yes he did score in many finals)

Hey – a former world class striker for free? This is a good deal. Worst case is that he scores 10 goals, best case is that he leads the line like a true number 9 and that creates a lot of space for el Sha to come in off the wing!

MOST IMPORTANT we also buy another player or two with the balo money!!! A midfielder so that muntari is on the bench! He is fine for the poor teams but he can’t compete with the likes of juve….

We need at least 1 more player in midfield. I am ok with this summer market if we sell Essien, Zacardo, Mexes, Abate, Agazi & sign Darmian & a midfielder (no to Ginkel if we do not have the right to permanent it).I know it wont b possible within this short time, therefore I will rate this mercato as B

I sincerely quite optimistic about this deal, i believe torres still has many goals to offer. About him playong bad at chelsea, its because of their way to play. Torres was beast when he was at liverpool and atletico. And we does need star players in our squads, fingers crossed.

Very sad what my milan is turning to, another unwanted/old/yesterday’s name. then tomorrow Galliani will say let’s thank lord berlusconi for this incredible gift. BS, sell the team!! for once and for all!!

Torres will be good for Milan…Milan needs more creative midfielder…Van Ginkel,Grenier,or Banega they’re not too expensive..Muntari,Poli,Cristante and Essien are subtitute/bench..(NDJ,Grenier/Ginkel,Banega),(El Sha,Torres,Honda/Menez),(Abate,Rami,Alex,DeSciglio)…

SanSiro

Benega went to Sevilla for only 2.5 earlier in the summer tranfers window.

Milanisti since 1998

Real Milanistas are welcoming him. Pretenders are already asking why.

Give the guy a chance! At least he has more class in his toe than all of Balotelli!!!

This is actually a very shrewd signing by Galliani as Torres will hit his peak at 38. We’ve got years yet.

Milan fan

As I said when they got ALL the trash from the big clubs:Alex,Menez,Armero,Lopez it’s only fair for Torres to come.

Next will probably be Dzemaili, that will be the cherry on the cake.

He was my favourite striker in the whole World when he played for Liverpool but he has seemed to have lost his passion to play i really hope he can find his way back to who he was back in Liverpool but i doubt it

Forza1899Milan

Serie A is a slower paced league than the Premier League so you never know what could happen. I am not the fondest of this transfer, but I hope Torres impresses everyone.
