FILIPPO INZAGHI is satisfied with the 1-0 win over Juventus in the 1st match of Trofeo TIM.
Milan won the first game of the 2014 edition of the Trofeo TIM, beating Juventus 1-0 thanks to a 30′ minute goal by Keisuke Honda (great work by Andrea Poli and Mattia De Sciglio in the set-up).
The Rossoneri will now face Sassuolo in the third match of the evening (that game will start at 22:45-23 CET) and coach Inzaghi is pleased with what he saw on the pitch against Allegri’s side.
“I am very happy with the attitude of these lads. Clearly Juve are an incredible team, but we held out well, did good counters and threatened a second goal,” Inzaghi told Mediaset after the 45-minute match. “We are really on the right track and I like the heart and hunger of these players, which is what we wanted to rebuild. I see improvements with each game and the team is growing constantly. On the one hand I am happy, on the other I know we need time.
“The Milan fans will return to the stadium. That was my objective and seeing them play like this, with this intensity and desire, I am sure their enthusiasm will come back.” Milan’s first game of the season is in 8 days against Lazio at San Siro.
