MILAN ARE keen to cut down on the number of squad players and want to offload some men.
The Rossoneri signed Diego Lopez to be their first-choice goalkeeper, pushing the others down the pecking order. Juventus made a move to sign Christian Abbiati but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adriano Galliani convinced the veteran goalkeeper to turn down the chance to be Gigi Buffon’s back-up and Allegri’s 2nd choice.
Milan currently have 4 goalkeepers in the squad and it’s clear that one needs to leave. At first it was believed that Michael Agazzi would leave (Atalanta met with his agents yesterday) but he’s expected to stay and be the third choice-goalkeeper. Milan prefer Gabriel to leave on loan so he will be able to acquire experience.
Milan back in for Cerci: Galliani met Torino today
Bonera: “We have to improve but Milan are on the right track”
As reported by the Milan Channel, Galliani and director of sport Rocco Maiorino are looking for a team in which Gabriel can play consistently. It is also possible that he will be loaned out to a team abroad – maybe even in Brazil. Meanwhile, Didac Vila looks set to leave the team – again on loan – with La Liga’s Eibar closing in on him. The clubs are exchanging the documents and according to Sky Italia, today or tomorrow, the agents of the fullback will fly to Spain to define the operation.
Cristian Zaccardo, as suggested by the MC, is also deemed surplus to requirements at Milan but it may be harder to find a team for him. La GdS reports that Riccardo Saponara and M’Baye Niang will definitely stay – at least until January.
Pls no. :(((
Yes id give Gabriel for free i know better keppers myself that guy is horible throw in bonera too
i’d rather didac stay than albertazzi
between didac and albertazzi, i’d instead loan later
Did he (didac) played well?? Why he didnt get chance after he recover from injury?
Christain zaccado shud leav n bonera, abaiati shud also go, so lopez cud b d 1st choic, agazzi 2nd n gebriel, netheir on loan
Horrible idea, in my opinion. The way i read it, Abbiati was given a one year contract extnsion to giver Gabriel another year to mature and become stable, after the same thing fell through last year because of Gabriels injury. Now, with Lopez signed, Gabriel gets at least two more years as an understudy to a top notch goalkeeper – but spending those two years as a third choice is the way for him to grow. Instead, he should be loaned to a team where he is first choice and has to deliver each week, even if it is at… Read more »
Yeah, I would love it if Abbiati retired at Milan, not at Juve. He’s one of the legends who stayed with us through all of the trouble, and doesn’t get as much credit as Pippo, Sheva, Kaka, Gattuso, Dida etc.
Has Didac ever been given a chance to prove himself? We seem to be in search of this perfect left back and it feels like this kid has never been given a chance. Even though I think De scigilio is probably our best defender on either flank and could probably end up in the centre (if were able to keep him injury free or even at the club).
He didn’t impress in two loan moves. if he did, he would be a starter or at least get chance. Just look at Dani Carvajal of RM; he impressed in Leverkusen and they bought him back and made him a starter.
Having Gabriel at Milan isn’t helping him get any better.
He’s no where near the level we need him to be, and if he wants any chance at reaching that level, he needs regular playing time in an easier league.
I, personally, don’t see what the fuss is about him.
He’s not Courtois. Not that he needs to be. Just saying he doesn’t seem to be anything obviously special.
Milan fans just have this weird idea that every young player we have is gonna be world class, which is horribly unrealistic.
Merci… Gracias.. Obrigado..
Gabriel is a really bad keeper i would send him to Another team for free
what of essiene, bonera, aggazi?
Sell them all.
Gabriel got De Scigilio hurt because of his bad keeping
Add Essien to that list please…
Didac vila certainly impressed me while on loan at espanyol, the boy is a decent left-back. Last season at real betis wasn’t impressive but so was the entire team. If the coach doesn’t believe in his abilities than, for the sake of his career, we should let him go.
Essien zacardo why are they’re still there
