Report: Milan make move for Napoli midfielder Dzemaili

MILAN ARE reportedly serious about Blerim Dzemaili but might decide to wait a few weeks.

Filippo Inzaghi has just seven midfielders in the squad and one of them – Riccardo Montolivo – is injured and will only return in several months. For this reason, the new Rossoneri boss is apparently looking for reinforcements in midfield.

The name that is allegedly on the mind of the people at the Aldo Rossi club is that of Napoli’s Blerim Dzemaili who just a couple of days ago scored the winning goal for them in the match against Barcelona (taking advantage of a big howler from new keeper Claudio Bravo).

Menez: “I am not a bad boy, I’m ready to give everything”

According to Sky Italia, Milan and Napoli are in talks over the 28-year-old whose contract expires. Gianluca Di Marzio wrote on his website last night that the Rossoneri have presented a €2.5-3 million offer to Napoli but the Partenopei want €5m. La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, is claiming that Milan have yet to approach Napoli but the player is interested in a move.

“Every player wants to play as much as possible. I didn’t have a lot of space last year but I know that I’m in a big club,” Dzemaili said, as reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta. “My future? Let’s see what happens in the end of the mercato.” The Swiss midfielder also said that “It gratifies me to know that clubs like Milan and Sevilla are talking about me” It’s believed that he’d prefer to stay in Italy than going to Spain and so Milan have an advantage over the Seville club.

This situation is unlikely to be resolved in the next days. Napoli would have to get a replacement for Dzemaili before moving him and their request also makes things harder for Milan. Galliani might therefore wait for the last days of the market.

Mediocre…
Fernando? Banega?

Realness

agree.

banega 6mill or invest Grenier 10mill

Andrew

Solid player who would no doubt put in a solid shift for the team, hardly an investment for the future though as he’s not going to get better or do anything spectacular so his value isn’t gonna rise! At €3-4m we could do a lot worse But why not properly invest in the future- Adrien Rabiot is unhappy at PSG, and is the type of all round midfielder we need. An offer around €8m could land him outright with his contract expiring next year and offering him first team football at a big club! I think our priorities should be… Read more »

Perin, Darmian, Rami (alex), Dória, de Siglio ; De jong, Rabiot, Montolivo (Honda); Shaqiri, Sharawi e Baloteli.

Grande equipe!!!

Andrew

Yes exactly the line-up I was thinking of 🙂
Unfortunately though the board would never spend approx €60m to get those players. Each would cost around €10 (give or take a few million) except for Shaqiri who would be €15m plus…
We almost spent €25m on iturbe around the time Kaka was leaving and Constant and Robinho have now left so there must be money somewhere to spend a bit on some quality!

Sheva

Before we all blamed Galliani for stupid signings like acerbi, constant, zaccardo, silvestre, traore, essien, alex, etc

But with Inzaghi we seem to have two Gallianis, inzaghi now want Pandev, Dzemaili, campbell, whos next inzaghi?? maybe andy caroll inzaghi? or perhaps kolo toure?

Seedorf we already miss you

Greg

Of course, signing Felaini will push him down to 4th-5th choice at Napoli, perfect time to become a Milan starter!

It also looks like we’re close to Alex Song, while we should be getting rid of our two awful African centre midfielders we bring another one in? Pushing Cristante down the pecking order again?

He should have gone to Benfica when he had the chance.

Cowmagnet

Why does them being African have anything to do with it?

Greg

Nothing, they both simply are simply terrible and happen to be African. I’d love us to have Yaya Toure or Kwadwo Asamoah!

If Inzaghi play 4-3-1-2 formation will be better…GK:Lopez. DR:Abate. DC:Rami/Zapata. DC:Alex/Mexess. DL:DeSciglio. DMC:DeJong/Essien. CMF:Montolivo/Cristante. CMF:Dzemaili/Poli. AMC: Taarbt/Honda/Mastour.FW:El Sharaawy/Menez. SC:Balotelli/PAzzini.

Jibola

Dzemaili is an underrated midfielder who contributed more goals than even some Napoli strikers considering his goal per time ratio. He’s 28 and definitely at the peak of his career and has lots of Serie A experience. He provides balance by offering both offensive and defensive contribution and he has quality. Player like this should be a starter but luck comes to play in footballers career and i feel he’s a bit unlucky considering his qualities. We currently don’t have a shooter as good as Dzemaili in our midfield. He’s a hard worker and most definitely an upgrade. I welcome… Read more »

Plz can anyone give me an update on diego lopez..cuz I don’t have time diz crap here milan are trying to purchase

tykimikk

i don’t want to hear any thing about seedorf here again… was he not the one who brought essien to Milan and refused to use cristante and saponara… the guy doesn’t use the youth and that what Milan want.. the mixture of the youths and the seniors..

Joe Helmy

I think, Dzemaili should be the next signing for Milan after hard works for Lopez, Armero and Cerci. Dzemaili is a hard worker and very consistence player. I hope final squad would be:

Lopez/Abbiati/Gabriel
Abate/De Sciglio – Rami/Zapata – Alex/Mexes – De Sciglio/Armero/Albertazzi
Poli/Cristante – De Jong/Muntari – Dzemaili/Saponara
Cerci/Niang/Honda – Balotelli/Pazzini – El Shaarawy/Menez/Niang

Lumen.

@tykimikk,The Pressure from the management made Seedorf not to play Cristante and Saponara due to Qualifying for European Competition is at stake, even both of them were injured especially Bryan. If Montolivo wasn’t sent off against Ajax there is no need for buying Essien then,Essien was bought then because he has UCL experience and had played against A.Madrid a couple of times or will you play Bryan or Saponara alongside NDJ in that match?.Do not get me wrong,i’m just defending Seedorf and not supporting the acquisition of Essien,am telling you why Essien was signed and the reason Seedorf couldn’t play young and… Read more »
