ADRIANO GALLIANI has a long weekend ahead of him as he’s set to meet several men for mercato purposes.
There are a bit more than 3 weeks left until the transfer market shuts and the Rossoneri are serious about improving the squad for the 2014/2015 season as their target is to return to the Champions League after finishing 8th last season.
Michael Agazzi, Jeremy Menez and Alex have been brought, while Adil Rami, Michelangelo Albertazzi, Andrea Poli and Riccardo Saponara have been bought out. But as seen during the USA and Canada Tour, these signings aren’t enough.
Report: Milan make move for Napoli midfielder Dzemaili
Official: Robinho joins Santos on a one-year loan deal
Agazzi and Gabriel did not impress Inzaghi and the Rossoneri are in talks to sign Diego Lopez. La Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed yesterday that an agreement with Real Madrid over the player has already been reached ‘for almost free’ (Marca is reporting that the agreed price is €2.5m) but as suggested by the pink paper today, the struggle is the personal terms.
Milan have agreed to Lopez’s request of a three-year deal but there is quite a distance between the yearly wages he desires and what Milan offer. The 32-year-old goalkeeper reportedly wants to earn €4 million net per season in Italy while il Diavolo are not willing to offer more than €2.5 million. Monaco are interested too and are offering a lot more money but Galliani is hopeful that he can convince Lopez to reduce his wages and make the switch from Madrid’s white to red & black.
The agent of Lopez, Manuel Garcia Quilon, will arrive to Italy and meet with Galliani tomorrow at Forte dei Marmi to discuss terms and try to reach an understanding. Things aren’t so easy for Pablo Armero either. Milan have an agreement in place with Udinese for a loan + option to buy but just like in the Lopez deal, the salary is the thing that complicates the talks.
Armero’s agent is already in Forte dei Marmi and will soon meet Galliani. La Gazzetta is saying that Armero is asking for €3 million a year from Milan but there is very little chance that the Rossoneri will give him that amount – nor anything above the €1.5m a season that they are offering. The distance is big but Uncle Fester and the representative of the Colombian, Luciano Ramalho, will try to work out a deal as there is desire on the part of both parties to close the transaction quickly.
Kia Joorabchian, who represents Adel Taarabt among others, will be at Forte dei Marmi tomorrow to meet Galliani and maybe discuss the QPR man who is still viewed as an alternative to Alessio Cerci for the right-winger role. With Robinho now officially gone, Milan can make a move for the wide player Inzaghi wants but their top options are all difficult to sign.
Torino, Paris-Saint Germain and Arsenal are all reluctant to sell Cerci, Lavezzi and Campbell respectively so Milan are looking for alternatives, like Taarabt. il Diavolo also have other options lined up in case that an agreement with Lopez cannot be reached: Sampdoria’s Sergio Romero, Genoa’s Mattia Perin (although Enrico Preziosi is unlikely to sell) and Barcelona’s Victor Valdes. According to the Spanish Sport, Alex Song is another target from Barca and he is ‘close’ to Milan on loan + option – something that has already been denied by Sky Italia, who reports that Milan have no interest in Song.
Galliani is also set to meet officials from Sassuolo to talk about Michael Agazzi. The side that beat Milan 4-3 last season and cost Max Allegri, is interested in signing the goalkeeper – who arrived a few months ago – after the injury of Pegolo.

Just now he starts to work….
All we can wish for is good luck, I just hope Dr Galliani gets it right this time because i don’t pray for another painful season.
Forza Milan
pls bring back taraabt and remove valdes of the list
Bring Ronaldo and Messi in – if you can do that for free, you can stay at Milan for now LMAO
Mr. Galliani please make signing for Lopez, Armero, Cerci and Dzemaili.
Reasonable players I want in:
Taraabt
Perin
Song
We could then play like this:
——————-Perin————–
Dsciglio—–Rami——-Alex——Song
——-Menez—–DeJong—-Honda——
—-Taraabt—–Balotelli—-SES92—-
@ Radagast,Song at LB?Allegri is that you?.
Song is a DM and has lost it,he’s also slow,i would rather take Ogenyi Onazi the Nigerian versatile midfielder from Lazio,he is a destroyer, good in tackling, pacey, goodshooting ability,a good holding Mfd,a good passer,He can play anywhere in the midfield trio, and at the RB,good in attack,young(21).His injury cost Nigeria’s elimination in the WC.He was crucial in the Nigeria-Italy Friendly match.
Cerci,Lopez,Armero,Onazi,Kagawa or Grenier,Varane and we are set.SIMPLE.
No Song – he is not really good…
Ac Milan line up _Investors version :
——————Krul————–
Dsciglio—–Vermaelen——Mangala——Blind
——-Tiote—–DeJong—Montolivo——
—Di Maria—–Falcao—-Lavezzi—-
This is not FIFA!
But even for FIFA it would be very bad: No Balo? No SES? (Both have a 90 rating in my FIFA manager carreer in 2017)
Imagine armero on one side and abate in the other.. Talkabout paceee wingbacks i hope the deal goes through and wenned cerci and id perfer perin no matter the price give em 10-15 mil plus mexesor zapata even tho zapata is beast not gonna lie.. Vut id rather have safe hands then no hands.
Pls mr fester no barca unwanted pls no V.valdes nor A.song pls no to knw
Good thing that the Song rumour has no foundation to it, he’s awful. And regarding the goal keeper. I can accept Lopez, but the best option is surely Perin without a single doubt, he should be number one, not Lopez. And forget about Romero and Valdes… both are overrated.
Armero…meh, don’t really matter if he joins or not.
Let’s just hope for a great ending to this mercato!
Fingers crossed.
Finally, uncle pester most have read comments on this blog.
Lopez asking for 4m I can understand, but Armero demanding 3m? After playing a handfull of matches last season.
Is he crazy? 1,5m is fine.
Galliani you suffer from old age
Reports suggests Armero is a done deal. Medical visit on Monday.
Personally I see Lopez as greedy player, his quality commands a good pay check but considering d fact that Madrid will gona pay off his contract (12m) says it all. Milan contract is all but unexpected plus.
I stand to be corrected
Pablo Armero just come, but not 3 million wages same goes for Lopez. we do not need greedy players with huge wage. this do not balance books.
Galliani will break your hearts as usual,Don’t forget those previous season especially the Mr.x saga hahahaha…
EL92 and Balo grow quite quick on fifa…xbox or ps3 gamer @ Alex44
Lopez doesn’t look like someone that will give his all for the club if u ask me
Song from Barcelona is comming, Galliani must think he is a genius. We really are Europe’s trashcan, everytime a club want to get rid of a player, galliani’s trashcan Ac Milan will accept the player
Song is not coming. It was a BS Sport report that lasted less than two hours (denied by Sky). Don’t try to get your point across with bad rumours and biased opinions, please.
Matri, Zaccardo, Essien, Muntari, Poli, Silvestre, Mesbah, Legrottaglie, Mancini were all BS reports as well, what happent?
Song is already signed, Galliani will sell De jong and replace him with Song and tell us we have signed a great champion..
Im telling you Galliani is suffering from old age
I think Berlusconi should just pump money into the team. He’s in the top 5 richest club owners. What’s the use of that if you can’t pump money into the team.
