VALTER BIRSA has admirers in Tuscany and could leave the club; the Turkish Sivasspor want to sign Ezekiel Henty.
With no European commitments next season, Milan are looking to reduce the number of players in the squad and a few players will become surplus to requirements in Filippo Inzaghi’s squad and the Rossoneri want to ship them elsewhere.
One of those players is Valter Birsa, who joined Milan from Genoa in August in exchange for Luca Antonini. Birsa’s start was promising but he was out of favour for Clarence Seedorf and it doesn’t seem like Inzaghi is counting on the Slovenian.
According to Sky Italia, Empoli are interested in signing Birsa. The 27-year-old played 21 games and scored 2 goals for the red and blacks in the 2013/2014 season and the Tuscan club believe he can be a reinforcement. Empoli, who played in Serie B next season and also reportedly want Riccardo Saponara on loan, might initiate contacts with il Diavolo for Birsa.
Sky is also reporting that the 21-year-old striker Ezekiel Henty has attracted interest from Sivasspor, who are already in talks with Milan, and also from Vitória Setúbal. Henty played on loan at Spezia and at Perugia in the season that passed.
