THE PSG duo looks set to join Milan this summer, both on Bosman transfers according to reports in the peninsula.
Ciro Immobile’s agent said Italian clubs can’t compete with big European clubs for players anymore and it’s now become obvious that Milan are in a market of their own where the idea is to scout for opportunities instead of for young players.
Michael Agazzi has already signed for free and Milan are now seriously interested in signing 2 Paris Saint-Germain players whose contracts expire in 27 days and they seem to have made serious progress for Alex da Costa and Jeremy Menez.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the meeting Adriano Galliani and Filippo Inzaghi had with Menez and his agent in Ibiza today proved to be fruitful and the sides agreed on the duration of Menez’s contract at Milan. The former Roma man, as reported by the online version of the Milano-based newspaper, will sign a three-year deal with the Rossoneri, until 2017.
Menez could become helpful for Milan as Adel Taarabt’s signing doesn’t seem so obvious. il Diavolo are hoping that Queens Park Rangers will agree to sell Taarabt for about half the price that was agreed in January when Adel’s loan with option to be bought was agreed. In addition to Taarabt, Kaka’s future is uncertain as MLS clubs are keen to sign him, Riccardo Saponara could go on loan and Keisuke Honda might also leave (according to today’s il Corriere dello Sport).
Meanwhile Alex’s agent Kia Joorabchian is in Milano and Galliani will meet with him this evening. Gazzetta.it reports that Alex, soon to turn 32-years-old, will sign a two-year deal and reports suggest that he’ll earn €2.5 million net per season. Milan are also still waiting for Valencia’s answer regarding their €3.8 million for the 28-year-old center back Adil Rami.
Alex’s representative Joorabchian also takes care of the interests of Taarabt so Galliani could use the opportunity to negotiate for him tonight when they talk about Alex. Milan Channel reports that Alex and Rami do not rule each other out.
