Highlights: Milan 1-0 Inter

MILAN FINALLY won the Derby della Madonnina, beating Inter 1-0 at Stadio San Siro on Sunday evening. The first half was pretty balanced with not too many chances for each side, with the exception of Ricardo Kaka hitting the crossbar. Milan managed to defend well and didn’t give Inter a lot of space to attack and Christian Abbiati didn’t have a lot to do during the entire game. Nigel De Jong and Riccardo Montolivo held the midfield tight, with the Dutchman in particular playing one of his best games this season. De Jong was the one to score the game winner as in the 65′ minute he buried the ball at the back of the net, hitting the ball perfectly with his head after a Mario Balotelli cross. Milan kept the result alive and got a deserved win and 3 important points in the race for a Europa League spot. Good performance.

Milan: Abbiati; De Sciglio, Rami, Mexes, Constant (85′ Abate); De Jong, Montolivo; Poli (72′ Muntari), Kakà (76′ Pazzini), Taarabt; Balotelli. Unused: Gabriel, Amelia, Bonera, Zapata, Urby, Essien, Honda, El Shaarawy, Robinho. Coach: Seedorf.

Constant played really well, he deserves the credits.

It’s going to be embarrassing to sack Seedorf after all he has done with these crappy players. He has done an amazing job since taking over, I wonder where we would have been if he took charge of Milan from the beginning of the season

There not all crap

in SEEDORF I believe

great game, important win.fifth place is the target keep the fire burning.forsa milano.

6th spot is more likely, but even that spot is not a certainty as it depends on the results of other teams. All we can do is just winning our last 2 games, and hoping that torino and parma lose points. It would be a shame if we don’t play in europe next season.

well fiore plays torino so a win could put us on 5th, but who will parma play?

It seems that Mr. Dorf has ideas and clear vision about how to play football like a champion. He is a good motivator too! I hope that Inter will not hire Seedorf if Galliani sacks him.

It feels so good to finally win a derby… and I tell you guys, the 4-3-1-2 is great when used properly, well done Clarence. A real team effort today, as it has been lately (except against Roma but that’s fine), really loved to see it, although Inter aren’t a top side, however derbies always turn into big matches no matter the circumstances. Standouts were our defence – although De Sci wasn’t at his best, but after a long time out it’s understandable. Glad to see Rami perform solidly in a big game, Ricky ran so much throughout the entire game… Read more »

We might not be the best team in Italy, (yet)
But we’r the best team in MILAN RIGHT NOW

Aminu Yusuf

Well deserved victory. De Jong has been our best player this season and confirm it 2night with a dorminant performance and a monster headed goal. Kudos to Seedorf for tactical flexibility as theteam played 3 formations 2night (4-2-3-1; 4-3-1-2; 4-1-4-1) and won (ist milan derby win in 3 yrs).
In Seedorf we trust. Forza milan.

Keep Seedorf! He has managed to do something that Allegri couldn’t and that is to Paint the City of Milano Red & Black again!!!

Good game lads.. Everyone played well.. But i must mention Rami nd Mexes aside, they played one of their best game together, nt a single error.. Rami was on anoda level today, he kept running from d start to d end. Forza Seedorf. We mst say thank u for giving us d confidence to come out once again nd watch our beloved team…

If they decide to sack seedorf (whch ofcoz has to do wt personal problems) den we r going bck nd starting all over again… Seedorf has make d players believe, nd u can see it in our play. I hope they let him continue. Forza Rossoneri

It’s always nice to win against Inter! But the next 2 games will be as important as tonight’s, especially next week cause Lazio is going to play Inter, and Torino is going to play Parma, which are all teams that’s fighting for the 5th and 6th spots. I still have mixed feelings towards EL, because as important as playing in Europe is for Milan, I also believe a season without playing in Europe could benefit us, because it could give the management a chance to rethink their strategy (not that there’s really one…) in the transfer market, and also a… Read more »

You can see how much that goal meant to the while team.
Brilliant cross
Brilliant header
Forza Milan

I congratulate the lads especially NDJ and Seedorf for helping the Club extensively,a rookie coach who have been doing great things,if not for the lose to Roma,we would have been above Parma,Lazio and Torino, but i hope the next fixtures will help us as they will play against each other.
Now i want to plead with the Fans in Italy,Please you guys should PROTEST against the SACK OF SEEDORF.

Seedorf “I wanted to surprise Inter by changing the tactical system. I have been thinking about using it next season.”

Grazie el proffessore….clarance seedorf…forza raggazi….forza milan per sempree:D
