ALESSANDRO MATRI can be considered an official Milan player as Milan and Juventus have reached a deal today.
The fans disapprove but Massimiliano Allegri has insisted and so he will get him: Alessandro Matri will join the Rossoneri in the next days and could even debut against the team for which he played under Massimiliano Allegri for two seasons.
Allegri asked the club to sign a striker after they qualified to the Champions League group stage and specifically asked for the Juventus man who has fell really down in the pecking order with the signings of Carlos Tevez and Fernanrdo Llorente.
Juventus’ Beppe Marotta confirmed on Thursday that Milan asked him for Matri and in the evening the yes arrived from Turin and the 29-year-old returns to the club in which he grew up. Milan will pay €11-12 million for the striker, who will be the sub-Mario Balotelli at least until Giampaolo Pazzini, who is arguably a better striker than Matri, returns from his injury.
Matri will have his medical check-ups tomorrow before signing the contract until 2017. He’ll reportedly earn €2.6 million. The young forward Andrea Petagna who has been impressive so far for Milan will meanwhile join Sampdoria on loan.
