MILAN RECOVERED from the heavy defeat on Tuesday to Barcelona with a good win over Palermo on Sunday afternoon at Stadio San Siro. Already after eight minutes of football, Mario Balotelli’s shirt was caught in the penalty box by Salvatore Aronica and the referee awarded Milan a penalty kick. SuperMario – obviously – converted it and gave Milan the lead. Milan were the better team all along and Palermo got to very few chances. In the 66′ minute, Balotelli doubled it for the Rossoneri: M’Baye Niang delivered a cross which Stefano Sorrentino somehow failed to retain – Balotelli attacked the ball quickly and made it 2-0. Milan stay 3rd in the table after Napoli also won. The hunt for 2nd continues.
