MILAN will face 6-7 different teams in the preparations ahead of the new 2012/2013 season.
The new season officially begins today. The new players will be presented to the press and the season objectives will be revealed as Milan are starting to get ready for the 2012/2013 season with coach Allegri.
There are a few players missing from today’s gathering in Milanello and Silvio Berlusconi will only arrive at night. Massimiliano Allegri will have a month and a half to get his players ready for the next season.
On July 21st, the annual Trofeo TIM is held in Bari. This competition brings Milan, Juventus and Inter to the same pitch; the games are 45-minute long each. Inter won this pre-season competition seven times – including last year – Milan won it three times and Juventus, the current Serie A champions, won it one time.
On July 24th, Milan take on Schalke at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. A friendly match between the German and Italian sides. On the same day, Milan’s Euro 2012 stars will return to training at Milanello.
Three days later, Milan fly out to the United States for the USA Tour. On July 28th, the Rossoneri play Chelsea (6pm local time) for the World Football Challenge at the Sunlife Stadium in Miami. On August 4th, Milan take on C.D. Olimpia (4.30pm local time) at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough in Massachusetts. On August 8th, Milan and Real Madrid take on each other (8pm local time) at the Yankee Stadium in New York.
The Real Madrid game will close Milan’s USA Tour. It’s also possible that Milan will take on AIK Fotboll from Sweden at the Råsunda Stadium in Stockholm on August 12th but it is still not official or confirmed.
