GENOA are ready to own Acerbi 100% but that’ll be only for a short time as he’ll be sent to Milan.
Acerbi has been a target of Milan for weeks now as he had a good season with Chievo and even though he was only given proper chances in the 2nd half of the season, he broke it to experts’ XI of the Season.
The deal to bring Acerbi appeared to be on hold as the co-ownership between Genoa and Chievo wasn’t resolved. But it’s now resolved, report Sky Italia and Gazzetta.it: Acerbi has been bought by Genoa C.F.C.

Genoa confirmed they have a gentlemen’s agreement with Milan for Acerbi. The Italia media reports that Genoa have paid €4 million for the 2nd half of Acerbi – who has already expressed desire to join Milan – and then the Rossoneri will take Acerbi on loan with right to buy or on a co-ownership deal for €4 million.
Milan have thus reportedly beaten Juventus in race for Acerbi. The Old Lady President Andrea Agnelli was asked who will sign Acerbi today and he pointed and Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and said: “He will!”
I don’t know much about Acerbi, but I see he’s been widely talked about so he must have some pedigree of potential…plus he’s young which is even better….if he does excel then that’s a positive in our defence, just a left-back is needed

hey…he broke into the first team of major expert serie a analyst (ahead of players lyk bonnuci, chiellini, lucio,cannavaro etc) datz gud enough for me.
Now nobody should be complaining that our squad is mediocre or not competent. Now we are all set to play in the coming season, But we need to wait and see how Allegri uses his players and the formations. I for one hope he gets rid of Play to Ibra strategy and make Milan play as a team. Less injuries and good strategies will see Milan move mountains.

Probably. I just find it frustrating to have to haggle with another team over a player’s rights. It seems like Genoa purchasing and then loaning would accomplish the same thing.
Maybe it’s just the American fan in me, but I’m not used to co-ownerships and haven’t been a fan.

Balzaretti was awesome last night. We should really pick him up. Both he and Abate were fantastic last night! I know he’s old, but B&G aren’t going to drop money on the wonder signings everyone hopes for.
