Reports: Seedorf close to Botafogo move

13

CLARENCE SEEDORF is expected to land at Botafogo according to reports in Brazil and Italy.

Seedorf’s experience at Milan is expected to come to an end as reports are suggesting today that he has agreed a move to Brazilian side Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas and the announcement is imminent.

Brazilian website Lancenet claims Seedorf is 99 per cent sure of moving to Botafogo. The Dutchman’s contract with the Rossoneri expires on June 30 and he hasn’t told Milan what he’s going to do: stay or go.

Galliani: “Thiago and Ibra 99.9% sure of staying”

In Brazil they are sure the 36-year-old, whose wife is Brazilian, is coming to Botafogo and Sky Sport Italia also claims the move is nearly done. Seedorf spent 10 years at Milan – from 2002 to 2012. Clarence won the Champions League twice with il Diavolo in 2003 and 2007 and he was a key player in Ancelotti’s side.

Veterans Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Gianluca Zambrotta, Mark Van Bommel and Filippo Inzaghi confirmed their exits last month already so it would be no surprise if Clarence indeed leaves Milan.

Is Seedorf joins Botafogo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to get his number 10 shirt.

Seedorf, deserve respect 4rm u milanistas. He is still ur player, he luv u, he works 4 ur leisure & he can still prove it. Milan problem is nt a matter of ageing, bt lack of commitment by d mgt themselves on transfer issues, wages, as well as reinforcement.

To be honest, his stay would be beneficial for Milan especially to control a harmony dressing room.. aside from Gattuso, Seedorf is known as a key player in the dressing room.. If only he would accept a much lower salary then keeping him for another season is a great thing! Losing too many champions at the same time isnt good.. who’s to follow for the young players? Do you trust Ibra to be the sample? YEs we do have Ambro, but seedorf will give a great support.. and if you’ve been following Milan in the last 10 years, you know… Read more »

Seedorf was actually causing problems in the dressing room. That’s why Allegri refuse to call him up prior to the Novara match.

Therefore it is good that Seedorf is leaving. It’s time for players like him to leave, I just wish Ambrosini was leaving with the rest of the senior players!

I won’t jubilate until its sign, seal and deliver.Seedorf has done a lot for us.Scored some important goals(when the teams needs it)the last one was against Fiorentina,we all know the referee,s stand about the goal. All the same, its time to move on,such is life.

A new dawn is about to set on Milan, which Seedorf is and shouldn’t be part of.For everybody interest,he should while the ovation is at the loudest.Ask Del Piero.

Ambro is enough to control the locker room. Why do you think he was renewed?

with this done, then Milan should buy a new playmaker. I’m sure they will. ’cause they understand that they’re not competitive with only Montolivo’s vision.
