TAYE TAIWO has left Milan to join English side Queens Park Rangers on a six-month loan deal.
It has been known for days now but only now it’s got the official stamp: Taiwo is no longer part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad as he’s moved to England to play for Queens Park Rangers F.C.
Brought in the summer on a Bosman deal, Taiwo was supposed to solve Milan’s left-back problems but failed to impress the coach and the people in via Turati and after only 8 appearances, he’s gone on loan.

“AC Milan announces that it has sold, on a loan basis, the player Taye Taiwo at Queens Park Rangers,” an official statement on the Rossoneri’s site reads on Tuesday. “It’s a new and exciting challenge for me and one I am very much looking forward to,” Taiwo told QPR’s official website. “I can’t wait to play for the Club.”
Milan already acquired Djamel Mesbah from Lecce. Taiwo and Didac Vila who is at Espanyol at the moment, are currently both on loan with no option to buy in the summer – thus they will return in July.

That is my question too because I am unfamiliar with the rules. Does this mean another non-EU slot opens up or does it only open up if the move is permanent?

He shouldnt come back,we should collect the money at the end of the season whether good or bad as we cant aford to have Zambro,Antonini,Mesbah and Didac all for one position.It was a good thing he came for free,if not it would have been one of Galliani’s worst transfer(Mancini’s of Inter quickly comes to mind)
Don’t worry, if he plays well and we don’t want him in summer, we’ll be able to sell him for a higher price than we would now.
I think it’s a pity that he leaves. It is true that he hasn’t really impressed but he didn’t perform much worse than antonini or zambrotta while they get a lot more playing time. I havent seen mesbah play but I dont really expect him to be a top class leftback since he comes from one the worst defences of serie a. The leftback position has been a serious problem now and we need a quality leftback immediately. Although I feel Taiwo didn’t do enough to impress I also thought he never got the run of games that maybe he needed to get into a good rhythm and ultimately get into form. That being said I almost feel we’ve missed a trick with Taiwo. With the issues that Milan seem to have replacing Nesta (mexes being injured, bonera not being the player many hoped he would be and the youth not being trusted) I feel Taiwo standing at six foot, with strength, pace and good ariel ability gave him a shot at becoming a good centre back. taiwo completely lacks the things that make nesta so awesome game reading,tackling,tactical awareness also he is always calm and composed.u cannot learn thiese things in a year or two.
ramos has decent game reading ability and good tackle,but he’s no comparisson to nesta

Taiwo cant(will never) adapt to the seria A game,loaning him to a mid table Italian club will have done him more good rather than going to a different league where defending isnt a bedrock upon which teams are built.
I forsee Taiwo wanting to stay over(should he finally break the duck)rather than coming back to a team where he isnt sure of a starting shirt.

I certainly wish him well. The best scenario would be increased playing time and improvement so that he can contribute in the future. There is also the possibility he will be sold at the end of the loan.
Like I said, I wish him well because I do not think that his difficulties fitting into the team were a result of a poor work ethic. I do not know how much the language barrier played into it, but it was unfortunate that things have not gone better. Hopefully this move can mean it will go better in the future.
