WHO HAS convinced you that he’s “from Milan” since he arrived in the summer of 2011?
We’re not halfway through the season yet but the Christmas break is a good chance to look back and review what we’ve seen from Milan so far and particularly from the new players that arrived to Milanello.
Five players reinforced Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in the summer of 2011 (six if you include Alberto Paloschi who was sent to Chievo on loan after a few weeks) and all of them have already featured in the XI.
Ibrahimovic: “We are the stronger team”
Milan: Torres is the new idea?
Philippe Mexes joined Milan on a Bosman transfer; he arrived injured (knee) and only in October he was given his debut following fitness and physical problems. Mexes recently played two games in a row alongside the excellent T. Silva and he seems to be gaining match fitness and will soon be back at his top.
Like the Frenchman Taye Taiwo joined Milan on a free deal and like Mexes, Taiwo was dealing with some injuries when he arrived. Taiwo failed to impress Massimiliano Allegri, who left him out on the bench or in the stands in most of the games this season. However, Taiwo is now improving and gaining confidence.
Adriano Galliani pulled off a fantastic deal by bringing Antonio Nocerino, an Italian international, from Palermo on the last day of the market for less than €1 million. Nocerino proved to be vital in Allegri’s Milan this season and already scored 6 goals this term, including one hat-trick. He’s a starter for this Milan.
Alberto Aquilani was brought on a loan deal from Liverpool, with an obligation to sign him in the next summer if he makes 25 appearances for Milan. Aquilani has broken into Milan’s starting XI and provided six Serie A assists in 15 games (20 appearances in all competitions so far) and scored one goal for Milan.
Genoa wonder-kid Stephan El Shaarawy is probably a player every Milan fan wants to see as he’s very young and full of talent. El Shaarawy has 1 goal to his name since joining Milan on co-ownership (il Diavolo paid €10 million for 50% of the player), but he has failed to play regularly for Max Allegri’s side.
So who was Milan’s best summer signing in your opinion? Vote now!!
Undoubtly it was nocerino!
Agreed! Definitely NOCERINO! I feel good about this because he was one of the players I suggested Milan should sign especially after the Copa Italia match against Palermo!
Nocerino!
Nocerino all day everyday! I love his work rate and professionalism. Very intelligent unlike a certain two ex-roma players. He did all his talking on the pitch! LOVE THAT!!!
What’s your issue with Mexes or Aquilani? Aquilani has done very well for Milan, and Mexes had an injury for 8 months and another on his hand. Mexes is a smart defender. Aquilani is a playmaker. You insult players you don’t like.
No problems with them, but Nocerino was far the best.
Nocerino
Why ask? Its definetely Nocerino.
ahaha..who else but him..i mean what do u get for half a million these days!!…
I go for…………Nocerino. No doubt about it. I was gonna pick Mexes, cause I’m a big fan for the frenchmen. And his name is just cool Hahahahaha
Milan has won all the games Nocerino scored. Isn’t that enough? Work-rate, Energy level, focus and Consistency. He’s got it.
NOCERINOOOOOOOOO
Noccerino
Aquilani
Mexes
Taiwo
Shaarawy
Mexes in these three games showed more quality than the other two Taiwo and Shaarawy.
Taiwo played more games and was free, thats why he’s ahead of Shaarawy.
The other two Noccerino and Aquilani, I don’t think I need to say why they’re top two.
Even without voting we already knew the answer is…
Now lets get Radja Nainggolan from Cagliari in Jan as as Sandro and Merkel. Ambrosini, Seedorf, MVB, Gatusso are over the hill!
If sign sandro, then we cant sign ganso(non-EU),eriksen will probably go to man united,i agree about nainghollan, but he said that he want to stay in cagliari,he is new gattuso.
Ganso is Overpriced and Overrated! Consistently disappoint when he plays except for in Brazil! Eriksen would be a great talent to have but if Tevez arrive we wont need him especially for his price tag! Allegri’s team plays in a different way from Ancelotti’s team. I dont believe we need a trequartista. We have players like Nocerino, Boateng, Cassano, Robinho, Aquilani, Ibra and especially Tevez who can create and score goals! We just need to replace MVB and Ambrosini! Keep Flamini and renew Gatusso and Seedorf for 1 more year so that Merkel and Strasser can grow! Naingolan and Sandro… Read more »
Tevez probably will not come, yes would be great sandro+naingholan+eriksen. Those players are keys for milan midfield.
Tevez has a stronger chance of coming then you think.
who is the number 3 in this poll?
yea,i voted noce but lets not forget aquaman’s contribution too.forza milan.
There is not question who was the best, but the question is,who was the worst!
Nocerino and Aquaman have brilliant for me.They seems to play well when they are both on the pitch.Taiwo has been the flop so far, even El Sharawy is more promising.
Aquilani have sometimes stupid decisions, nocerino never dissapointed me,he never risk, where is no need,he is like silva,so very responsible.
Nocerino and it’s not even close.
Propably Nocerino is the best purchase any European team did till now
seriously
Noceri-goallllll
I was wondered why Nocerino never made it a larger team, but Intially Nocerino looked a little scared getting throwen in the deep end against Barca, but he has come on leaps and bounds.
his goal scoring record for Milan has been fantastic, you can see with the runs into the box that he’s hungry, have any of you ever seen his pre-match warm up? He has an abundance of skill with the ball, and looks more than just a DM.
Let’s hope he keeps it up!
Nocerino indirectly had a part in both of those goals against Barcelona in Camp Nou, and he ran the most of out all our players in midfield that game. I don’t think he was scared…
aquilani definitely needs to improve his work rate, speed and decision making. Unfortunately im not sure if thats possible, given that he is not that type of a player. 6 assists and 1 goal is not enough for a key position in our midfield.

nocerino is perfect, taiwo and mexex need time, aquilani is good and el shaarawy is the future
i think all of them
Nocerino, Aquilani in second place, but not too far.
He its Nocerino
im not gonna read all the rumours in the website n just wait until 1st january…lets hope uncle fester does his magic again!
The question now should be does Milan keep Aqua?
and
Who should Milan sign next? (Nainggolan)
In my opinion we should keep Aquilani and YES definitely sign Nainggolan!
If Tevez, Nainggolan and Sandro come in Jan, then I believe Milan will surely be in the CL finals and win Serie A!
Milan must look to replace MVB and Ambrosini in Jan and not next summer!
Flamini and Gatusso should be back soon to contribute which would give Nocerino some rest!
Definatly Nocerino! And Aquaman has been superb thus far. Taiwo is comming back to himself with more games and Mexes is still awsome(for a guy who’s been 8 month’s out). My main concern is S.e.s, i hope he’s as good as they say and that we did’nt just blow up £10m. Pato at 19yrs was already a starter but not Ses, better we loan him out.
thats not a question to ask 😛
nainggolan, Who’s that guy?
NOCCERINOOOOOOOO??!!!!!!!!!??!??!!?! IS D MAN
time to be controversial……Nocerino
We need to replace all the aged players in the squad with young n talented players who are hungry for success n will make impact on our team.
noce
no doubt the best signing this season – probably in all of europe
NOCE and AQUA.
Now we must sign Andrea Poli and Davide Santon.Balo for next season.
What king of question is this plz ?
It very simple NOCERINOOOOOOOOOOOOO

HAS TO BE TAIWO!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A PLAYER!!!!!
oops..
Dnt ask defntly is NOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCccCCcccccccerino
Ross, Taiwo has started to play really well now. Give him that credit. He’s finding his place in the squad.
So far it has been Nocerino. He immediately made an impact. And for the price you can’t go wrong.
And will people please stop talking about Ganso? He’s too expensive, he’s overrated and he won’t come to Milan.
taiwo looks confused..and scared. he needs confidence.
He didn’t look confused or scared the last game. He made many nice interceptions. He went forward a few times. Allegri played him over Zambrotta and Antonini who were available. So it goes to show Allegri is liking the guy more.

Definately NOCERINO
ERIKSEN AND MONTOLIVO.
Lets go UDINESE!
i think we need to sign one goalkeeper too. Allegri’s milan is not completely dependent on the CAM. our team is very strong already, one new DM is urgent.
Guys, imo, allegri knows best who they need to sign.coz he is the one who decides how the system is gonna work. More over, neither ganso nor eriksen is whom we need! We need someone who is gonna fit into the system. Weather he is famous or not! Look at nocerino, who was he last year?
Nocerino was ranked as one of the better midfielders last season when he was with Palermo. Palermo lost a lot of midfield power when he left. He wasn’t an unknown. I think Eriksen could do well for us.
ow might be..actually i wasnt quite familiar with him.. sorry.
No doubt Nocerino is Milan best signing.
yeesss!!! and a draw,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!
Well, we are winter champions! The same as last season! That’s a good sign for us Rossoneri’s! Forza Milan!
Giancarlo you said always that ganso isnt overrated now you say he is? :-/
You bet he is!!!!! Overrated at 40-50 million Euros! Severely overrated. He’s at most 15-20 million euros… and 20 million is pushing it.
