WHO HAS convinced you that he’s “from Milan” since he arrived in the summer of 2011?
We’re not halfway through the season yet but the Christmas break is a good chance to look back and review what we’ve seen from Milan so far and particularly from the new players that arrived to Milanello.
Five players reinforced Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in the summer of 2011 (six if you include Alberto Paloschi who was sent to Chievo on loan after a few weeks) and all of them have already featured in the XI.
Ibrahimovic: “We are the stronger team”
Milan: Torres is the new idea?
Philippe Mexes joined Milan on a Bosman transfer; he arrived injured (knee) and only in October he was given his debut following fitness and physical problems. Mexes recently played two games in a row alongside the excellent T. Silva and he seems to be gaining match fitness and will soon be back at his top.
Like the Frenchman Taye Taiwo joined Milan on a free deal and like Mexes, Taiwo was dealing with some injuries when he arrived. Taiwo failed to impress Massimiliano Allegri, who left him out on the bench or in the stands in most of the games this season. However, Taiwo is now improving and gaining confidence.
Adriano Galliani pulled off a fantastic deal by bringing Antonio Nocerino, an Italian international, from Palermo on the last day of the market for less than €1 million. Nocerino proved to be vital in Allegri’s Milan this season and already scored 6 goals this term, including one hat-trick. He’s a starter for this Milan.
Alberto Aquilani was brought on a loan deal from Liverpool, with an obligation to sign him in the next summer if he makes 25 appearances for Milan. Aquilani has broken into Milan’s starting XI and provided six Serie A assists in 15 games (20 appearances in all competitions so far) and scored one goal for Milan.
Genoa wonder-kid Stephan El Shaarawy is probably a player every Milan fan wants to see as he’s very young and full of talent. El Shaarawy has 1 goal to his name since joining Milan on co-ownership (il Diavolo paid €10 million for 50% of the player), but he has failed to play regularly for Max Allegri’s side.
So who was Milan’s best summer signing in your opinion? Vote now!!
Nocerino is the man. Guys are speaking against Mexes bcos of what he did to milan sometime ago. Better luv him cus hez here to win. Forza Milan, Forza Mexes!
Nocerinol
Well, the answer is becoming boring now. i’ll say El Sharaawy for change 🙂 Remember the boy has earned us a crucial point vs Udinese. Udi could’ve been on top of the table by now.
Well Nocerino is not only the best signing, but also one of the best peformers in serie. Antonio is babee
Nocerino has earned us crucial points too…
I vote for Sharaawy, he didn’t prove nothing yet and i agree Nocerino has been the bargain so far. But i believe we didn’t by Sharaawy just to spend some money, this kid has some talent, he was unlucky with his injuries. I hope he can prove his worth, we need to have faith in this kid!
Forza Milan, Winterchampions!
First spot, the place where we belong!
Best wishes to all the Rossoneri & fans!
Milan need a world class midfielder if they want to beat ARSenal. This is because ARSenal have a huge amount of youg players who are extreamly faster than our granddad’s like seedorf, ambrisini etc… but those granddad’s are legends, we have to move on because they are now part of milans great history, we need new young players who can keep up with ARSenal’s young fast players… FORZA MILAN!
1. Nocerino
—————
2. Aquilani
—————
3. Mexes
4. Taiwo
—————
5. El Shaarawy
If El Sharaawy would have been 29 instead of 19 nobody would want him to play.
nocerino without a doubt… Alberto was also a good signing… They both contributed a lot to the position that we are in
absolutely nocerino is amongist the best midfielder i ever seen
Nocerino of course.
No Brainer Nocerino is the Best Signing Period he entered through the back door only to sit in the front seat, what a player
Nocerino should be in the top 10 signing of the Summer Transfer!
Nocerino sure is worth his fee, but I wouldn’t say he’s Milan starting material since he’s not enough good of a passer or creative for that. So I’d say Aquilani or Mexes.
and the winner is………………..Nocerino! 😀
i know… Thats why i said Nocerino is the best signing and among the top peformers in serie A. I doubt your lens are on.
he is nocerino, good performance from him in the half season, great job antonio nocerino
Obviously Nocerino!
All hail the merchant NOCERRINO. By the way I think we need to watch this Naingollan guy closely, he is showing some glimpses of brilliancy. We don’t have to break the bank to get him. Remember how we get Nocerrino so cheap and he is doing wonder now. I need someone to help with his age (Naingollan).
Nocerino
Aqua
Taiwo
Mexes
El sharw
its obvious and is definately NOCERINO…….about d transfer market,we need striker like tevez who can create a space for other strikers to score and on the midfield we should emulate juventus by signing young players. The likes of juventus krasic, eriksen, merkel, sandro and many more should be given the chance so we can cope with the pace of teams like barcelona, napoli and premiere league clubs
There’s no doubt Nocerino is the best signing. Aquilani has done o.k., but I expect more of him for the next half of the league. Mexes, Taiwo and El Shaarawy need to play more in order to adapt better to the team’s playing style. I don’t think Mexes will have a problem with that since he has a lot of experience in Serie A.
