ANTONIO CASSANO could be dropped to the bench for Monday’s showdown against Napoli.
After starting in two consecutive Serie A games, Antonio Cassano could start from the bench on Monday when Milan play S.S.C. Napoli at San Siro.
Cassano has failed to convince lately and Coach Massimiliano Allegri would probably line-up Alexandre Pato against the Azzurri, as The Duck impresses in training; he scored two goals in a training game against the Berretti team yesterday.

Pato is expected to start alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho who’ll play behind them.
After deciding on the attack, Allegri has to decide who will play with the two defensive midfielders Gennaro Gattuso and Mark van Bommel.
The candidates are Kevin-Prince Boateng, who has just returned from an injury, and Alexander Merkel, the German youngster. The newspapers in Italy suggest that the Ghanaian will be given the nod.
The defense isn’t sort out as well. Ignazio Abate, Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva will play for sure, but there is competition for the left-back position following the injury of Luca Antonini, who is first-choice.
Gianluca Zambrotta has resumed training this week, but it remains to see whether he’s fit enough to play. If not, Massimo Oddo, who usually plays on the right, will be used as a fullback on the left hand side.

It was reported Vila “isnt experienced enough and is too young”. Urby plays in midfield not in defence. But come on Vila cant be worse than Bonera or Oddo, both who have been tried out and theyre not good. It rly is a tough choice in attack. Pato has rly improved, as well as R70, who has been fundamental this season. Tough choosing one from Ibra and Cassano, but Cassano is more of a super-sub than Ibra, so that gives Ibra the nod apparently.

Didac will never see the pitch, this year.Still, I’d rather see anyone than Oddo, he’s rubbish. He’s cost us points in the past, and he will again!

well Didac was bought for bargaining purpose for criscito as he was suppose to go on loan there to gain league experience, he is very talented but not experienced enough for the nod over oddo or bonera….just my opinion….
i’ve only seen oddo have one bad game this season, his crosses were all over the place and wasn’t clicking well with anyone. but other than that game, he has been doing really well
Didac Villa was bought wiv injury and so cannot play, buh oddo should do well.
Oddo is a right back, he’s not a left back. I don’t know who this is “TJ56” guy is. Oddo is terrible as a left back. Awful. He cost us a goal the last game against Chievo. Didac Vila isn’t injured either. What planet are you guys on? Zambrotta has recovered fully and took part in full training, so he should play this game.

I wasnt the one who said Oddo’s gonna play at leftback, I read it on Milannews. I agree totally with u, he’s terrible at left back. But I also read that Zambro is not FULLY fit and may not play, I agree with u on that as well, I hope he plays rather than Oddo.

I’ve read that Zambrotta is set to play though. We’ll see the call-up list. I’d rather we play Jankulovski as a LB, because that is his natural position… and Oddo can’t do anythign there.
We keep using these Grandpa’s as our fullbacks.

Oddo is great but as LB, i very doubt how still great he is on defence.
better Didac i think or use urby(but is a risk too, because he is an attacking player type).
For a big match like this, i will not risk some young players like Vila who don’t have an experience. Just like Merkel and Strasser who just started against small team, but advance step by step for starter against big team. Just…be patient guys.

Stop rambling. Some players aren’t ready for the big leagues. I’ve heard from horror stories from Ajax fans about Emanuelson at LB. We should put him in midfield if anything… as far as Didac, he’s been said to be too young and inexperienced. But I hope he plays soon.
